The New Home
Good morning and happy Friday! I don’t have any stamping to share with you today, mainly because what I am working on is for the DD and just can’t be shared yet! The 15th is fast approaching and I don’t have hardly anything done, so I’ve promised myself a few full quiet days in the studio. What I do have to share today are photos from my mother’s new home. I’ve promised many of you pictures for months now and it’s finally complete. For those of you who have been listening to my stories, rants and raves, and jokes about trying to sell real estate, purchase real estate, remodeling, etc., know that this has been a long journey. Just to update you new girls, my father passed away a few years ago and my mother decided last summer to move from their home on the river. Of course, there was the home that we all grew up in sitting vacant and that house needed to be sold and then mom had her eye on a garden home in a certain area of town, and luckily one went up for sale and she grabbed it up. Shortly after purchasing the new home, she became very ill and set everything back a few months. Well, she’s finally in the new place and still working on cleaning out the river home (as all we kids scramble to put dibbs on what she is not taking with her)! I hope you enjoy the pictures and I promise to have some stamping related articles for you next week!
The pictures turned out really great, but you really have to see it to do it justice. The patio home is just beautiful. I am Sherry’s younger sister, and what she is not telling you, is I am notorious for putting my dibs on everything. Of course, you can’t walk through my house.
