Wow did I have some happy mail yesterday! Not only did I receive my polka dot ribbon from TexasJodyLynn’s ribbon share, I also got my reveal package from my Big Sis chocked full of paper, ribbon, chipboard, and rub-ons. But wait, there’s more! I also received this fabulous new set of stamps from Lizzie Anne Designs. They are called Blissful Blossoms and are one of the sets in the Little Bits Cling Stamp Sets! I knew after seeing today’s Color Challenge on Splitcoast that I just had to play with this new set.

Today is the two-year Anniversary of the Color Challenge. We have our option today of using Real Red, Kraft, and Basic Black or Pretty in Pink, Bravo Burgundy and Always Artichoke. Of course, I chose the pink! I only have time today to make one card but so wanted to use my new Lizzie Anne set! Now these stamps are outlines, so I started off my coloring the stamps with my markers, misting and then stamping twice on watercolor paper. I covered the outlines with clear embossing powder and embossed. I then water colored the insides of the outlines with reinkers and a watercolor brush. I kept looking at the image, and wondered how I was going to make it small enough to fit on the front of the card, and decided that I needed to cut part of the petals out in order to have some background to work with. Drew the doodles, but not too sure that I like them, but was way beyond the point of starting over. The sentiment was stamped and punched out with the word window punch and then layered and hand-trimmed (which is why it is so crooked). The background paper is Pheobe by BasicGrey and is layered on the Always Artichoke paper. The card is finished off with some ribbon and brads!
