What a Mess!

So this is the mess that I have come home to! I think there won’t be any stamping today until I get some things cleaned up!

Mess

I have a doctors appointment this morning and then I think I need to hit the studio and do a little clean — what do you think? You’ll notice that stack of unpaid bills up there, they HAVE to be done today or it just might lead to trouble with DH. The bulletin board fell off the garage door for the third straight time and I flung on my paper cutters before I left and then just kept adding things on top. Need to unpaid from the trip and get some things organized. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to leave them!

  1. I know the feeling…

  2. Oooo, you have new stamps! How can you not use them today. Better clean fast! lol

  3. Hi Sherry,

When I am faced with a daunting challenge. I make a list and make piles. It helps to organize the mess – if that makes any sense at all. As I eliminate each piie – I cross out another off the list. A feeling of accomplishment is actually developed and having an organized mess is also helpful. I’ve got my own “piles/lists” today too. The weekend was just too much fun. Have a great week. Love your cards and blog.

  4. Your area looks like mine! LOL I can’t believe you have new stamps and ribbon and you’re going to clean up instead of play. In all seriousness, I try to put everything away right after I use it. I have piles but they’re organized piles and large baskets are great for holding messes until I get a chance (or I need) to clean up. Good luck and get it done soon!

  5. Wait, are you telling me this is not what stamping areas are supposed to look like?!?!

  6. Don’t you have a closet you can stick all that stuff in and go by new stuff!? Ha-Ha My suggestion for everything is go shopping! Love your blog!

  7. My tip….grab some paper and your new stamps, head to the kitchen, and close the door behind you! HA…have fun!

  8. Ok, first of all….seeing this makes me feel soooooo much better (knowing that someone has piles of stuff….oh wait….but mine are all thru my house!!!)
Second….just clear enough space to make room for a card….obviously you know what is in each pile, so it’s already organized, right?!!! BWHAAAAhaaaa!! (that’s my idea of cleaning!! heehee!)

  9. My advice:
Skip the cleaning and hit the new stamps and ribbon:)

  10. Augh…I know the feeling, I had the same mess only larger today. I dumped my bags when I got home too and there they sat until today when I couldn’t even get through the door…

My solution? Stampers everywhere will cringe…I threw away all the scrap paper that I had that needed sorted, and put the essentials away…I have a fairly clean room again…but some poor stamper somewhere probably hates me for throwing away and entire card board box of scrap paper…well i didn’t throw it out yet, but its boxed up waiting on trash day…so i guess its the same…

  11. Hey, this is the exact reason I turned a bedroom into a stamping room. So I could just close the door on my mess. Before, I was in a common room and spend more time cleaning, then stamping. However, now instead of spending time cleaning, I’m wasting all of my time looking for things. Can’t win. Love your blog, linda

  12. This looks like my kitchen at times. I stamp downstairs in the winter or when the games are on. When I first looked at this, I thought you had stamps in the microwave!

I just got home from Costco and WHole foods Market after shopping all day-there is now actually food in the house but I did get a huge pack of paper from Costco, so all is not lost. 360 pages of WIld Asperagus cardstock! My house is so trashed with suitcases still intact from the wedding trip to Iowa-but I have managed to stamp a few things tonight while cursing the Wings.

going to bed-I think. nope-gotta put some stuff in the pantry.

  13. what a great “mess”. Love the room and can imagine it all cleaned up but is it ever all cleaned up?
