What stamping I’m doing the next few days, I won’t be able to share. So I thought this morning that I would finish up a card that I started working on last Friday night at the Cincinnati Stampin’ and Pamperin’ Retreat. I was playing with some chalk inks, and threw this combination together just for fun. When I got home, I added a few stickles in the center of the flowers and down the lines of the watering can. I didn’t want to leave you all week without any stamping, so I decided to finish the card this morning.

Imagine if you will, last Friday night, in Cincinnati at a stamping retreat, for SCS members and SU demos. I’m there at my table and I’m playing with some new stamps from Papertrey Ink and my new Colorbox fluid chalk ink . I suppose I got by with it cause I am a little bit BAD and a little bit dirty!

Now I have to tell you that I have taken close to 20 pictures of this card, haven’t liked a one of them – this just isn’t the true color, but I’m convinced that greens and pinks are the hardest to photograph. I finally gave up and this is what you are getting.

I broke into some new Crate Paper that I got from Jacksonbelle Embellishments to finish off the image. I used the corner rounder punch to make the scallop border and then punched holes using my 1/8″ circle punch. Those layers were put together onto Buckaroo Blue cardstock and then sewn together on the sewing machine (which I doubt I will never take down now). The ribbon was criss-crossed on the diagonal and brought together on the right-hand side of the card. I punched the corners of the image using the ticket corner punch and then layered those together, punched a hole on the side for the bow. After it was finished, the card looked a little off balance, so I quickly stamped the sentiment and using the small and large oval punches layered those and mounted them to the image. Both the image and the sentiment are raised on mounting tape. The card front was then mounted on a card of Buckaroo Blue.
