It’s a good day today! Kate doesn’t have to work but we did take Sydney to the vet this morning for her checkup. I have Stamp Club tonight and need to be cleaning the house, but . . . . I just had to stamp first!

When I saw today’s Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast, I knew immediately what set I wanted to use. This is such a fun sketch and one I know that I will be doing again. If you haven’t checked it out, follow the link above – you won’t be sorry!

I chose for today’s card, Bundles of Bouquets from My Favorite Things. I stamped the flower images in Black Stazon and then colored them with Prismacolor Markers (and it is the first time I’ve used them). I have to admit that I also used some SU markers to get the colors for the vases and pots. If I ever get the hang of them, I might have to buy the entire set and not just a few colors. I used the 1 1/4″ square punch to punch out the image, mounted them on black and then punched them out again using the 1 3/8″ square punch. I then drew the doodles using a fine tip Pilot Black Gel Pen. For the background, I embossed a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder. To decorate the bottom, I used the large oval punch and punched a hole where I wanted the sentiment. The sentiment is stamped in Real Red and then mounted on black. I punched it out using the small oval punch and then mounted it on black again, punched using the large oval punch and then hand trimmed it down. My hands were shaking a little bit and the trim isn’t as smooth as I would like it to be. The background panel and the four flower images are raised on mounting tape.
