Having no big holiday plans today, the girls are off working or with their friends, I have the day to stamp to my heart’s content, so that is what I’m doing. Before I went to bed last night (which was late for me) Roxie had already posted today’s Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast, and I immediately had a vision for a card – LOL doesn’t happen to often these days.

Anyhoo, when I was at the Orlando Stampfest I went berserk in the Rubbernecker booth. (BTW, if you click on that link right now it says their site is under construction. When they are at shows, they take the site down. It will be back up when they get off the road.) The owners, Dave and Pat, are so much fun to talk to and very helpful when looking for something in particular. Their booth JUST happened to be right across the aisle from the My Favorite Things booth and it was so easy to bounce back and forth – hehe. So, to still do my own personal challenge of using new rubbah as much as possible, I reached for one of my new sets from Rubbernecker – Fishy Fishy! Way too much fun! AND, they just happened to have a chicken wire background stamp too – WOO HOO – been looking for that one for awhile!

I stamped one of the images from the set in Brilliance Graphite Black on Neenah Solar White Cover and then colored it with Copic markers. The bubbles are highlighted with a Gelly Roll glaze pen, but it is hard to see in the photo. Cheesecloth is stamped in Cool Caribbean on Cool Caribbean, and I set the eyelets in to make it seem more fishy. Now when it came to the second panel, my wild and crazy thoughts ran to my new Chicken Wire background. I couldn’t resist using it along with a crab holding a sign Clams . . . the other white meat. Get it?? BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, I’m crackin’ myself up!
