Good morning all! It’s hard for me to believe that it’s Friday already and I feel like it’s Tuesday. Must have been the holiday thrown in there and everyone home. I have some exciting news to share this morning – and I can finally announce it! I am one of the newest members of the Lizzie Anne Design Team!!!!!!! I can’t wait to begin sharing some new creations with all of you and I am so looking forward to working with some of my fellow DD members on the team!

I’ve been working pretty consistently in the studio the last few days and last night hit a rock wall. So I thought I could use a challenge today and checked in on the Limited Supply Challenge on Splitcoast. The challenge today is to pick a card in the new Fall-Winter Collection 2007 Catalogue and case it. You have to keep to the same number of layers and embellishments, no more nor less. What I thought was going to be somewhat of an easy layout became a little more difficult with the few tweaks I threw in. Simple cards are just not easy for me!

I chose for my challenge the middle card on page 37 of the catty. The stamp set used on that card is It’s Snow Time, but it’s a little too warm for me to even begin to think about snow. I’m also still in the process of my own personal challenge of using new rubbah, so for today’s card I used Blossoms Abound. What you say – Blossoms Abound. Yep, it’s new to me! I just purchased it when I placed my retiring order and this is the first time the set has seen ink! For me it’s not as much fun as Roses in Winter, but I suppose it will serve as a decent replacement for the time being.

I stamped the first layer of the lilacs in Blush Blossom and then the over stamp was in Pretty in Pink. Each layer of the flowers was off-stamped once to the side of the first image stamped. The leaves were stamped first in Mellow Moss and then highlighted with Always Artichoke. Instead of making a frame around the panel with staples as shown in the catty, I decided to miter the corners and then stitch them in place. The black background panel was distressed with scissors and a sanding block instead of tearing.

Stamps: Blossoms Abounds, Small Script

Ink: Blush Blossom, Pretty in Pink, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke

Paper: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Basic Black, Neenah Textured Linen

Accessories: Hodgepodge Hardware, Dimensionals, Ribbon, Sewing Machine
