Good morning! Well I’m finally home, getting in late last night. The puppies were very excited to see me and haven’t left my side since I walked in the door. I have so many things around the house to catch up on, laundry being the first, and then the mail. Oh the goodies that came in the mail while I was gone. I can’t even begin to describe what all is sitting on my dining room table. Let me just say that once I get it all organized and put away, we are gonna have some fun!

As I promised yesterday, I have a little peek at one of the new sets from Gina K. Designs. I think this has to be one of the most versatile sets I’ve ever seen! Actually, when Gina first told me about, I promised to do cartwheels and roundoffs down the boulevard if I could get my hands on it! Well, she did send it, but video will have to wait – I’m too tired from my world travels!

You can see the entire set on Gina’s blog, but here’s my first sample with this new set, Way to Go! This set has so many possibilities and I am so honored and delighted that Gina asked me to work with it. WOO HOO!

Way to Go

I colored the images with Copic Markers and raised both the image panel and the brush on mounting tape. Instead of actually sewing on the card, I went for a little faux stitching for a change.

Paper: Memory Box Homespun Collection, SU Brocade Blue and Basic Black

Ink: Palette Noir Black, SU Basic Black

Accessories: Copic Markers, Faber-Castell Artist Pen, Mounting Tape, Ribbon, Corner Punch

Good morning! I’m getting ready to head out to the airport, it’s time to head home. I have had such a marvelous time with Jeanne and looked forward to visiting with her again. Think road trip!

Before I call it a day on the computer, I have another Sneak Peek of one of the new sets from My Favorite Things. This set is called By the Seashore, but I had to give it my own little twist. She’s walking along a dirt path instead of the ocean.

By the Seashore

The image was colored with Copic Markers and then raised with mounting tape on the background panel. Both the background panel and the main image panel were sewn on the sewing machine. I had gone through Jeanne’s stash of paper, and found this adorable Memory Box paper and couldn’t resist cutting into it. I loved it so much that I had to purchase some right away. Jeanne is a bad influence – hehe! Anyhoo, I stamped one of the sentiments from the set on the bottom panel and added a little ribbon. Too much fun!

Paper: SU Real Red, Memory Box Homespun Collection, Georgia Pacific White

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, SU Basic Black

Accessories: Copic Ciao Markers, Ribbon, Swirl Clip, Mounting Tape, Sewing Machine

I’ll be back home in Indiana late tonight – so until tomorrow when I have some more fun images from Gina K. to share with you!

I’m wrapping up my final day in Texas. Jeanne and I have decided to have one of those no running, loll around days. We’ve been on the run for three solid weeks now and I have to tell y’all that I’m one tired little puppy! I have so enjoyed my visit with Jeanne, both in Louisville and in Texas and as long as she’ll let me come back, I’m here. I have been able to get together with so many friends and each and every one of them has made this trip so special. As Jenn would say, Good Times!

Enough of my sentimental sappy ramblings, let’s get to some stamping before I cry. My Favorite Things is releasing 3 new sets on November 1st, and I have one to show you today. This set is called Build a Bouquet, but I stamped out a card with a little twist. Actually, I have been calling this my fuzzy ball tree since I first started working on it. If you want to get technical about it, I suppose it is actually a Christmas Topiary, but I so love saying fuzzy ball tree.

Fuzzy Ball Tree

There are 4 different sizes of circles in the set but I worked with only 3 of them. I stamped the circles in VersaMagic Chalk Inks and then over stamped with a smaller flower in the set using different colors of green. The tree trunk is made with one of the flower stems from the set and the pot is just that, a flower pot. To finish the image off, I added little dots of Red Stickles. The background paper is BasicGrey Dasher that I found at Jacksonbelle Embellishments.

WOW what a day we had yesterday. Beautiful weather, great shopping and fabulous friends. Jeanne, Jenn Balcer and I headed to Salado to meet up with some SCS friends. We were running a little late, Jenn had some minor car problems, so everyone else got there before us. But oh my, what a time we had. Our primary stop was Stamp Salado and in the store waiting for us, was Anna Wight (SweetMissDaisy), Sharon Harnist (StamperSharon) and Beverly Gerard (TexasGrammy). We filled our little baskets with stamps, laughed and chatted forever in the store. Shopping for rubber is such a strenuous activity that we were starving when we came out of the store. We headed to a local café for lunch and then hit a few more of the stores. Before we parted for the day, we headed back to the porch of Stamp Salado for some photos.

Here’s a group photo of all of us together compliments of Anna. Mine was so bad that I hated to put it up here. Thank you Anna!

Then a picture of Anna, me, Sharon and Jeanne.

With Tex

I so enjoyed my day with these girls, and look forward to coming back to Texas so that I can see them all again! I have to add here that I feel like I have made instant friends here in Texas. How exciting it has been for me to meet so many women that I have talked to on a daily basis, have something in common with and know so much about. Can ya’ll say WOO HOO!!!!!!!

So let’s get to a little stamping today! It is Sunday, and time for another JBWW Challenge. We have a simple sketch challenge for you today, one background layer and one image layer. Of course, you also have your card front. So you have three simple layers in all, unless you decided to throw in a few extras for matting purposes.

Remember, if you upload to your SCS Gallery to please use the keyword JBWW. Please come on back and post a link to your blog or gallery for us, so we can take a look at your creations.

Here’s my sample today – a little Snowfall. I colored the image with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and sponged the edges of the panel with SU Soft Sky. The background paper is the new Figgy Pudding from BasicGrey, which I found at Jacksonbelle Embellishments.

Good morning ya’ll! Today is gonna be a busy one. Jeanne and I are meeting up with some other SCS friends for a day of shopping and gabbing! My trip is winding down, I have but a few more days to cram everything into, and we realized last night that we are not going to be able to fit some things in that we wanted to do. Oh well, that just means I’ll get to see it on my next trip out. Too bad, huh? hehe

I do, however, have some stamping for you today. This is another item that I have made for the SPG Fall Action. While I was on a roll with the Bind-it-All making journals, I kept at it. This journal was made exactly like the one posted the other day, but I changed up the paper and the chipboard. The sentiment was stamped on Very Vanilla and then attached to the chipboard tag.
