Good Thursday morning. It’s so hard to believe that it’s already November – I wonder if it’s because I’ve been on a whirlwind since the first part of October. This is the first year in 21 that I can honestly say I didn’t put up that first Halloween decoration. Unheard of in this household! With Mallory gone, my house is quieter and I don’t have all the kids running in and out as in past years. I suppose I should pull out some of the fall stuff for Thanksgiving though. Maybe.

Anyhoo, it’s November 1st and Gina K. Designs has some awesome new sets that were released at midnight. I missed the release party last night on Splitcoast, but reading back this morning, what a party they had. In addition, her new site is up and running and it looks fabulous!

This first card is made using the new set Got Snow. I stamped the image on watercolor paper and then water colored with reinkers. To add more dimension, I used Liquid Applique for the snowflakes and snow around the base of the image. Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink was sponged around the edges of the main image and the BasicGrey Figgy Pudding DP (which I found at Jacksonbelle Embellishments). All the DP was sewn to a panel of Chocolate Chip cardstock using Jeanne’s new sewing machine.

This second card was one of the last I made while visiting with Jeanne. Using the new set, Punchy Words, I wanted a simple thank you card. I colored the stamp with markers and stamped it on SU Whisper White cardstock. I kept layering the sentiment to make the medallion and sponged all the edges with Old Paper Distress Ink. Once again, I sewed all the DP (which is also from Jacksonbelle Embellishments) to another panel before putting it on the actual card base.
