Good Saturday morning! Back in the summer when I went to Orlando Stampfest, I had the opportunity to meet Kristi Ferro. At that time, she was a stamper wanting to learn how to color with Copic markers. Fast forward to today, and Kristi is the owner of Hanna Stamps. A few weeks ago, while chatting with Kristi, she asked if I would be interested in doing some design work for her. Not only did she ask me, but she also asked Jeanne. As she said, she can’t have one without the other. Guess what? Both of us said YES! I feel so blessed to be working with Kristi and the fabulous team of designers she has put together. WOW there is some outstanding talent on the team that I’m gonna get to work with – WOO HOO!

I got my first set of Hanna Stamps one day the first part of this week, and couldn’t wait to color my first Hanna. I thought about my youngest daughter being away at school, and how a coed (since this is what Hanna’s remind me of) might look like on a cold snowy day on campus. Of course, this Hanna would have to be going to a function, because on a cold, snowy day I know my daughter would be in her warm and cozy sweats.

Holiday Coed Hanna

How fun is this Holiday Hanna! She’s all decked out in her Holiday attire with just the slightest bling on her umbrella. Of course, the image is colored with Copic Markers and those are red stickles on the umbrella. I couldn’t resist adding those stickles (and yes, I did let them dry first). Hopefully she won’t slip on that ice underfoot either. To make the ice, I stamped Hanna, masked off her boot, and then stamped the little water puddle in the set. The puddle was colored in blue and then a layer of Stickles was painted over the top. Now you can’t have ice without a little snow around the edges, so I dabbed some Tulip puffy paint around and waited for it to dry overnight before I puffed it up. Since I had used this Memory Box Holiday Greetings paper, I didn’t see a need for a sentiment – the paper says it all!

This next card, was inspired by one that my friend Anna had on her blog the other day. I so loved her card with the duck and mail – plus she was asking her readers what might be in the letters. Well, I just couldn’t resist leaving her a couple of comments on that one! Anyhoo, I had to make my own duck card. This time I stamped the duck, masked it off and then stamped the water puddle and umbrella. I colored the image with Copic Markers, put all the image panels together and sewed around the edges. The background papers are some new ones that I just got, Me & My Big Ideas. After sizing up the main panel, I cut a small strip of the coordinating back side, and trimmed it down using a pair of scalloped edged scissors. After I finished assembling the card, I couldn’t think of a sentiment and found these rub-ons hidden in a stash box. I figured if I used the sentiment Happy, it could be Happy anything. Happy as a duck in water, Happy Birthday or even Happy Birdday – the inside sentiment is as endless as your mind can wander. After I had the card completed, it just wasn’t right. So, I stamped out another umbrella, colored it the same way I did the first and then mounted it on top of the other one with mounting tape.
