Happy Thursday to you! I hope all of you have had a good week so far! It’s still flippin’ cold here, but it is supposed to warm up by the weekend. Speaking of weekend, I’m having my Stamp Club on Saturday and I’m still busy prepping for that. My mind is on overload thinking about becoming an empty nester; and how I’m gonna set up my new stamp room that I can hardly concentrate on anything else. It’s gonna be done on a budget, using some pieces I already have and hopefully just buying a couple of tables. However, not only is this room involved, but there will be some stitching of bedroom furniture in the move too. Kate’s bed is going to Mallory, Mallory’s is going to Kate (for their home office), and the extra at the river is coming to me. Which means, that not only do I set up a new stamp room, but I also have to clean out my bedroom and repaint in there. Yes, it definitely needs but I do believe that the stamp room is going to come first!

Anyhoo, have ya’ll noticed that Lizzie Anne Designs is having a sneak peak of their new release? There are some fabulous new sets coming out! Now, I don’t happen to have them yet (I believe they might still be with the mailman) but if you hop over to the Lizzie Anne Winter Release Sneak Peek, they are showing new sets every day this week.

Because I wanted to take part in the Release Party, I decided to stamp anyway, without the sets. So, I worked up a little something for today’s Splitcoast Ways to Use it Challenge. The challenge today is to use flowers. I have flowers, I have bottles and bottles of primas, but I never use them. Why? I don’t know – It’s not that I don’t like them, I just don’t know why I never use them. Anyhoo, here’s my cowboy, who I now think should be a cowgirl!

I stamped the cowboy first, then stamped the flower the High Hellos so that it would look like he was holding the flower. The images were then colored with Copic Markers and his little star was colored with the Gold Spica Pen. For the background, I mixed the swirl from In the Background and the paisley from Jolies Fleurs. The sentiment is from High Hellos. All the edges were sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Once I had the card assembled, I added the primas with a quickie glue pen and then added a little drop of Gold Stickles for the centers of the flowers.
