I’m at the end of Day 2 of the Rubber Room Remodel. I didn’t get as much done today as I had hoped, however I did finish painting the room. I ran an errand with Kate this morning, we had brunch after and then headed to Kmart. I had seen a table in the store last week that I thought would make a great work area and when I opened the store sales ad on Sunday it is on sale. Luckily they had one left and it found its way into the trunk of my car.

Here’s a picture of the whole grouping, but I only purchased the table.

Farm Table

My goal tomorrow is to paint an old bookcase and start painting an old cabinet that I have stored in the shed.

For a little humor, I’m going to share a card that I made a few weeks back and haven’t posted. On the outside the card says, You know you’re old when . . . and on the inside . . . you and your teeth don’t sleep together. I was telling my mother about this card the other day, and there is no doubt in my mind that she’ll end up with it.

  2. Congratulations on your progress in the RRR but are you really going to use such a beautiful table for crafting??? Loved the card but if I sent one like this to my Mom, well, lets just say she’d completely miss the humor in it.

  3. Geezo Pete’s…that set is almost exactly like the one I bought for our dining room back in April…we have such good taste, don’t we? LOL!

On mine, the table legs are a squared tapered shape with fewer frills on the shaping, but the chair legs are more detailed than the one you show. Color and style otherwise almost exactly the same! I bought the bench too. So far it has held up very well to 3 kids and a DH. I got mine from the Art Van Clearance center…it was a steal for only $400.

  4. Woo hoo Sherry!!! Nice table! So when can I come and mess it up?

  5. Are you going to cry when you put the first big ol’ scratch in the top of that pretty table?! LOL! Can’t wait to see the final outcome of your new craft room……I’m jealous!

  6. I cannot wiat until dh and I get a bigger place so I can redo my craft room….and what a fantastic table. I see someone else asked the same question…about worrying about hurting that table. LOL Love the card.
