Good morning. Today is the long awaited day! INTRODUCING

The Jeanne Streiff Collection for Rubbernecker Stamp Company. So now you know, the designer of these wonderful florals and flourishes that the Design Team have been using the last few days are from our very own Jeanne! I’m so lovin’ these images. For months I kept telling Jeanne I wanted some solid florals that I could just ink and stamp. Well by golly, she did it!! They are deeply etched red rubber stamps mounted on smart cling cushion.

After making today’s sample, I got a brainstorm (and yes, it hurt). I’m gonna have to have two of this image. One to leave as one image and another to cut apart and have two separate images. The possibilities are endless – oh MY BADNESS!

Flora and Flairs

For this card, I inked the image with distress inks. The stem flourish was inked in Shabby Shutters and then rock n’ rolled in different areas with Peeled Paint. The flower was inked in Dried Marigold and then rock n’ rolled in Spiced Marmalade. Using a Tsukineko Fantastix, I highlighted the inside of the flower with more of the Spiced Marmalade. Once I had the image inked, I misted it with water and then stamped on Vanilla cardstock. Now after I had the image stamped, I went on the search for some matching paper. I know, I know – and I do this so often, I match the paper AFTER I pick my ink colors. I settled on these two papers from the BasicGrey Sugared collection and then matched that to Prism cardstock. Probably what you can’t see in the photo, is that I stamped the Wheat Swirls Flourish on the background paper in Distress Embossing Ink. It added just the slightest design on the paper which takes on a different look depending on the light. The image panels were all cut using circle Nestabilities and the edges were sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I hope you have a fabulous day today! I need to get some more stamping done before I leave for the Gateway Rubber Stamp Getaway tomorrow. I suppose I should do laundry too so that I will have something to wear.

I decided to do today’s Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast, and thought that I would edit and add it to this post. After all, it is another sample of The Jeanne Streiff Collection. I was going for more of a monochromatic look, but decided at the last minute to add the black. Glad I did!

SC179

I stamped the flower image with Distress Embossing Ink on white paper, heat set it, then stamped another image over the top. The second layer I embossed with Ranger UTEE. Instead of using ink on the paper, I decided to use two different shimmer mist concoctions. I mixed Milled Lavender with Pearl Perfect Pearls and then Dusty Concord with Pearl Perfect Pearls. I sprayed the image panel with both, allowing them to dry in between colors. I was amazed at how the image stamped with the embossing ink only soaked up the colors and got darker. Well, live and learn! I then stamped the background with one of Jeanne’s new flourish designs in Milled Lavender and then misted the background with the Milled Lavender Shimmer Mist. This baby really does sparkle in real life. I’m just sorry I can’t get a photo that does it justice.

SC179 cutout

I cut the circle images for the flowers with Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities and added some black ribbon and brads. There would be more brads, but darn it all, I have one left and only two smaller ones. Guess I’m gonna have to shop – . Anyhoo, it’s just a another sample of how versatile these stamps really are!
