Good morning! It’s Day 2 in the Lizzie Anne Designs’ Summer Release Sneak Peek! Don’t forget to Tricia’s Blog, Letters from Lizzie, and Meridith’s Blog, Little Treasures, not only will they have some sneak peeks for you, but they also will be linking other Design Team members who do. Lots of sneak peeks for you browse today!

My sample today is made with the new release, Happy Harvest. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this set, and oh the possibilities there are! There’s a lot of masking with this card, but I have to say that I quite enjoyed making my little scene.

HAPPY HARVEST LAD

The gourd was stamped first, masked, and then the pumpkin was stamped. Leaving the mask on the gourd, I then stamped the basket of apples. To stamp the scarecrow, I left the mask on the gourd, masked the pumpkin and basket, and then stamped. The image was colored with Copic Markers and then for the background I took the easy way out. I decided I wanted to airbrush it, instead of color. I placed all the masks back on, including one for the scarecrow. I tore a strip of Eclipse Tape from the roll, and used it to mask the sky. To airbrush the grass, I flipped the same strip over and matched the edges, covering the sky. The background is made with scraps of BasicGrey Mellow that were distressed a little, sponged and then sewn to a layer of River Rock.

  • Stamps: Happy Harvest from Lizzie Anne Designs
  • Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White; BasicGrey Mellow; SU River Rock and Always Artichoke
  • Ink: Ranger Adirondack Pitch Black and Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink
  • Accessories: Copic Markers and Airbrush System; Sewing Machine; Eclipse Masking Tape; Brads; Ribbon; Mounting Tape; Photo Corner Punch; Tsukineko Sponge Dauber

I hope everyone has a great day! I was expecting Jeanne to fly in late last night, but she called me from the Austin airport and there was a delay. A delay so long that she would have missed her connecting flight in Atlanta that she decided to wait and fly in today. She should be here late afternoon/early evening, and then we head out tomorrow morning for CHA!
