Good morning!  I didn’t have much time to stamp over the weekend, and yesterday was filled with household chores.  I hope you didn’t miss me too much!

For my card today, I decided to use one of the new Stamp Oasis images, the fireplace set.  While working on the card last night, I made a little boo boo with some ink, and had to trim down the top of the fireplace mantle.  I had already picked the background paper out, thinking that it looked like old-fashioned wallpaper that might be a great backdrop for this fireplace.

The image was colored with Copic Markers and then I used an Inkssentials White Opaque Pen to highlight the decorative part of the fireplace.  The edges of the image and the background papers were sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  After the edges were sponged, the background panels were sewn together on my sewing machine.
