Good Tuesday morning! Oh yeah, I said Tuesday and that means its Treasure Hunt Tuesday at Rubbernecker. There’s also a big sale at Rubbernecker now through December 16. You can get all the details about the sale plus a list of the Designers who are participating today over on the Rubbernecker Company Blog! A couple of those Designers are offering Blog Candy today.
Since I’ve been feeling in an angelic mood recently (BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA) I decided to use one of the KK Originals angels.
I colored the angel with Copic Markers and highlighted parts of her robe and wings with a Spica Gold Glitter pen. For a fun touch I added Frosted Lace Stickles to her wings. Wings should shimmer! The angel and the background panel were die cut using Spellbinders Petite Oval Nestabilities and I lightly sponged both edges with Broken China Distress Ink. The bottom of the card and the middle band were cut and embossed with Spellbinders Deckled Scalloped Borderabilities and then I highlighted the edges and the embossing with the same Broken China Distress Ink. The stars were cut from lightweight chipboard with the Spellbinders Stars 5 Shapeabilities. The larger star was painted with gold acrylic paint and the smaller star was inked with Broken China ink, then covered with Broken China Distress Stickles. I found an old button in my stash and tied it on with gold cord.
Since this is a card that I plan to send, I wanted to finish the inside.
I ran a band of the same DP I used on the outside, and then embossed my sentiment with Ranger Queen’s Gold EP.

Awwww, this is adorable, Sherry!!! The angel is adorable and I love how you did the star!!! Sooooo, you are feeling angelic hummmmm…..
Absolutely gorgeous! Love the subtle colors and textures. When I sit down at my craft table, I want to be you! But I’m seldom angelic…
Sherry, your card is just beautiful.
Beautiful, Sherry! Are you sure YOU made this angelic card? *snort*
Oh my gosh! I love this card with all the different shapes and borders. I have got to check out the deckle border Nestabilities as I am such a huge fan of deckle edges for some reason. I use my scissors on everything. I love the star shapabilities, too! Bob may have to get another Christmas list from me.
Beautiful card, Sherry! I love the addition of the layered stars/button and that gorgeous ribbon! It’s beautiful on the inside too!
You do know that there are “good” angels and “bad” angels, right?!! BWHHAHAHAAAAA!! I like the soft blues to this….
Ahhh, she’s so pretty Sherry, love the colors and distressing!
