I hope everyone had a terrific Monday. I truly didn’t do much of anything and finally ventured into the studio around 4’ish or so. My morning got away from me, then it was time for the soaps and I have to admit that I fell asleep on the couch for a short nap.
I thought it would be fun today to finish up the all occasion guy cards. Of course these cards have a theme . . . . automobiles. We’ve already had the Mustang and the Corvette. The final in the series is a Ford Thunderbird. Now here is my dream car! One I would love to find in an old barn, long forgotten. Mine would be a ‘55, painted turquoise with a white hardtop. Oh yeah baby!!
The T-Bird was colored with Copic Markers and Ranger Glossy Accents was used on the headlights and windshield. I’ve once again used Spellbinders Labels One and Petite Oval Nestabilities to keep with the same sketch I’ve been using. I think this is my favorite out of the three.

Sherry, I’m so sorry but you can’t have the turquoise ’55 as your dream car because it’s been MINE forever!!!! I actually know somebody who has one, but his son said I should just forget about it, because I’ll never get it!! Love your card!!
Sherry, I was just thinking of what kind of stamps should I buy to make a few masculine cards since most of mine are a little too “sissified” for a guy 😀 Since Rubbernecker is having a great promotion going, I’m heading over there to buy a couple. Thanks for the great ideas, but now I need to find some masculine looking papers; my grandson, recently deployed to Iraq, would probably get teased, if he received one with a floral background 😀 Have a super happy and creative day!
ok….had just a moment of disappointment when I saw this card. I REALLY thought that you were going to show me the turquoise one!! LOL!! But~ after the initial “awww, bummer” I do like this one too!! hehe

I am totally in LOVE with these cards….my Dad would also love them and it is too bad I can’t even begin to CASE your work. You were one of the first designers whose talent I envied….after 4 years (?…not sure, it could be longer…see, you are not the only one with a failing memory, hehehehe), I am still beyond envious of your talent. These cars are awesome and by the way….that Red Corvette….it’s got MY NAME all over it…..you don’t have to be a guy to love these cars!
