Good Thursday morning!  Smiley from millan.net Man it seems this week has completely flown by.  I still haven’t cleaned the middle of the basement, so I guess I better get to that today.  The girls will be in Friday afternoon.  Of course they won’t be staying here for the week . . . the punks are going on a cruise.  Yeah how’s that for ya?  I’ve never been on a cruise, have always wanted to go on a cruise, and more than likely will never get to.  BUT, my daughter sure as hell is going on a cruise!  I can tell you now that we refused to pay for it . . . so I’m sure they’re cruising economy.  However, it is still a cruise and I know that they are going to have a blast!

I got my new BasicGrey paper in yesterday and couldn’t wait to make a card with Marrakech.  So glad I got the buttons too.  Just wish I had gotten the brads now.  I love the colors in this paper!  I’m also tickled to death that Rubbernecker is selling Prism papers now too.  I never have a problem matching BasicGrey with Prism . . . it just goes together!

I still have a few of the Stamp Oasis Seed Packet images that I’m working on and the colors for the paper fit Poppies and Joy perfectly.

SO Poppies and Joy

I water colored the image with Distress Reinkers and the die cut and embossed the image and all the layers beneath it with the Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities.  I stitched the background layers on the sewing machine, after sponging all the edges with Dried Marigold Distress Ink.

I’ve got tons going on the next few days and need to finish up some projects that have looming deadlines.  I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping in!  By the way, my new camcorder arrived yesterday too!  WOO HOO!

  1. This is a great Victorial style card (is that what the style is??) with the great and bright colors. I love the image and sentiment. Great BG paper.

  2. Hi, Sherry! Do you ever get tired of reading my questions? 😀 Where did you buy your Basic Grey paper for the great looking card? I wondered if Rubbernecker had some and when I went to shop for it, no such luck. The colors you chose are what I like to use. Have a super day, and by the way, I’m sorry you’re not going on the cruise 🙁

ANYWAYS!! I love how you mix the spellbinders to make your layering….and I REALLY need to figure out how to mix/match patterns of paper….(can’t even figure out how to mix patterns of fabric…my decorating is VERY neutral/plain!!) And sewing on a card is likely to NEVER happen, bwhahaaaa!!
