Good morning!  Today is the last post I’ve made on the Flourishes Newsletter as the June Flourishes Limelight Designer.  Today I covered the Faux Bleach Technique on the Flourishes Newsletter.

For this week’s post, I worked with both the Home Tweet Home and Birds in Vines sets. My first card uses Home Tweet Home.

The image was colored with Tombow Markers and I used the new Spellbinders S4-218 Lattice Borderabilities for the border along the bottom.

To show examples of the Faux Bleach Technique, I used Birds in Vines and airbrushed over the embossed image with Copic Markers.

and the embossing ironed off as a second background:

  1. I love your projects, Sherry! Great suggestion to use cardstock as the sheet over the embossing for ironing. I love your 2nd tag equally as well as the tag on your card front. AS you know I am challenged with this and hopefully I can get my own personal privatge lesson during your CHA visit.

  2. Love your cards. Looking forwards
to using the lattice dies (they are
    on preorder.)

  3. Oh my beautiful work here, so love the bird in the first, great coloring and that lattice is just perfect with it, on the second card, love the background colors on the tag, and pretty border there too!
    Cool tag too!

  4. I have to say that while I like all of these WONDERFUL works of art, the card with the faux bleach tag is my favorite. I swear, I could use this technique for every card I make. LOVE the look of it!!

  5. Gorgeous cards Sherry (as always!!!)…love them!

  6. Hey Sherry ~ Lovely work as always, but really thought your “embossing ironed off CS” was Brilliant 🙂 Great creations and I so appreciate you showing them all off to us ‘wanna be’s’ !!! hehehe

  7. Fantabulous schtuff, m’lady!
    I can’t even select a fav this time … I love’em ALL!
