As my title indicates, there have been some changes on the BAD Side over the last week.  Sometimes change happens around you that you don’t like, and then sometimes you need to make changes for yourself that you hope are good.  When I decided to leave full-time work as a legal secretary some 15 years ago, I was scared but knew in my heart that things would be okay.  They were!  I’ve never given a second thought that I didn’t make the right decision for my family then.    With that being said, there are more changes today, besides my decision to leave Stampin’ UP! earlier last week.

I have worked with Rubbernecker Stamps for over 2 years now and have enjoyed every minute of it.  I am honored that I was given the opportunity to work with Dave and Pat, the owners of Rubbernecker, and to work with such an excellent design team.  I love you girls like my sisters!!!  However the winds of change have blown in, and today I am leaving the Rubbernecker family and moving on to wherever and whatever new paths might lead me.  One must seek their own adventures and I know there are plenty more to be had!

I hope you all have a fabulous day, and thanks for stopping by today!

  7. WOW. Ok….the SU one I saw coming (since I was in the same boat)…..THIS one broadsided me.
    WOW.
I know that what ever adventures you undertake will be terribly fun. I hope that this doesn’t mean you will leave your padawon behind since she too, is about to set off on some new paths. Don’t think that “she” is quite ready to be a full fledge Jedi.

  8. Whatever you have coming your way next is sure to be as fabulous as YOU are!!
    Good luck 🙂

  9. WHOA! good luck in whatever is down the road kiddo!

  10. Oh bummer, Sherry. Big inky hugs to you! Can’t wait to see what your next adventure is. 🙂

  11. Best wishes on your new adventure. I read your blog every single day, so I surely hope you’ll continue creating. You’re so very talented and I love your cards!

  12. Sniff… whine… blubber…sob…
    You’re my hero.

  13. I’ve seen those same winds blow in without warning a couple times. Fortunately, the fog clears eventually and you see the light.

  14. Sherry I completely understand that sometimes you have to make decisions which are so hard to do and sometimes hurt very badly. I am sorry to see you leave Rubbernecker, but sometimes things are just the right thing to do, as you said. I have learned a lot from you and have always enjoyed your blog, and will continue to do so. My wish for you is to find the next adventure to share your talent with. You are an awesome artist and I just know whatever you do next, you will succeed! Hugs to you ~ Michelle

  15. Good luck Sherry! I know something will come your way when you least expect it.

  16. Sherry, you know, sometimes it’s a window God opens, not another door, so don’t sit there staring at doors ya know!? I’m not sure what Rubbernecker will do without you because I’ve always seen you as the face of Rubbernecker — I only know about them because of you and your wonderful work! Oh well, I don’t mind following you on your next adventure! You are still one heck of an artist — but a legal secretary? Blech — and I can say that, I’m a lawyer! Hee hee hee hee….

  17. Wow, Sherry. This comes as a big surprise. But, chin up. Wherever the road may lead, I’m sure good things are in store. Big hugs.

  18. I can only imagine the empty spot the Rubbernecker crew will have with you leaving, but they understand that you have to do what’s best for Sherry Cheever. I’m really excited for you because there is so much more to do with your artistic talent and I know that something BIG is in store for all of your blog followers. You were the very first blog I discovered and have never wavered seeking inspiration from your designs, projects, or funny stories, especially when it comes to the dogs! I’m looking forward to tagging along on your new adventure….yay!!!!

  19. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!! Sniff….Sniff!!!! Ya know I love ya and wish you many blessings on your new journey!!!!!

  22. Hugs Sherry! You are a very strong woman and I know that you will find exciting opportunities and great success in the near future. Best of luck.

  23. Hey Missie…I think life is like one of those revolving doors in the big fancy hotels or the old fashioned department stores that charge you to smell the air…it just depends on what it feels like giving you. Something to grin about, something to think about, so go blue about, to ponder it’s meaning…so, just put on your red dress and those – you know the ones – killer spikes and spin around…that damn door will spit you out EXACTLY where you belong…Rubbernecker is out and so is SU…I for one can not wait to see where you’re spit next…
    Love ya
    Liz Thogersen

  26. When it rains, it pours. So grab your oars and start paddling! There are plenty of places hoping you will drop anchor at their dock. (How’s that for a metaphor? And I’m not even a sailor!)

  27. I hope this doesn’t mean you won’t be blogging everyday and sharing your talents. Please say that isn’t true!

  31. Sherry,

In reading the book “The Secret” I found what has become my montra.
“Life is so easy! Life is so good! All good things come to me!” Bob Proctor – The Secret

I put this as a signature to all my emails….not so much for others to read, but so I read this every time I send an email. I must say, even though there are trials in my life, as in everyone’s life….this montra has become true for me.

Good Luck. I know your new adventures will be very good for you.
    Mary

  32. Sherry as long as you are happy it will come out in everything you do. You are one of the most creative people I have run across. I just wished we could have met in person. SU has lost a very talented person its ther’re loss. you just keep smiling and we will always be there with you.

  36. SU is losing a lot of talented stampers. Not only has the stamping world changed with SU, I know Rubbernecker will really miss you too. Best wishes on your new ventures. I look forward to seeing what’s in store for you.

    Blessings,

    Beth

  37. Hi Sherry,

Looking forward to seeing where your journey and adventures take you. You have stamping in your soul so I’m not worried you’ll give that up and I do trust that whatever new directions you find will be a learning and growing experience both for you and for those of us who follow you on your blog. In the meantime and in the in between times I hope you find time to breathe and grow and relax a wee bit and take life as it comes while you figure things out. Your past associations will miss you but will never be far away and the future is wide and bright and filled I’m sure with new loves, passions and most of all new stamping associations. Go for it girl – your “BADNESS” is waiting!

    Hugs and blessings – Jean
