Happy Thursday!  I would say good morning, but once again I’m running late and once again, I didn’t get my morning paper.  This is two days in a row that I’ve not had my morning crossword, Sudoku and jumble fix.  I called the paper and they offered to deliver it with tomorrow’s paper . . . what’s going to guaranty that I’m going to get tomorrow’s paper?  Nothing!  They no longer deliver the paper to Southern Indiana if your carrier fails to bring it.  WHAT?  They told me to get it offline.  Well, the puzzles are not the same online and how else am I going to know if I’m alive if I can’t read the obits!  I could go on and on here  . . . like how they charge $20/month for a paper that used to have some substance and now consists of maybe five pages that’s full of ads . . . . Smiley from millan.net

Moving on and staying on task  . . . I have a card today!

HollyNov19

All of a sudden I realize that I’m hooked on this paper and these colors this year . . . I just can’t help myself . . . .

The image was embossed with gold EP and then water colored with Distress Re-Inkers.  The panel on the side was made with the largest of Spellbindersâ„¢ Labels Six and then cut in half to fit the side of the card.  It’s a bummer, I covered the berries with Glossy Accents and it looks pretty cool in real life, but the picture blurs it.

That’s all I have today (I’ve suddenly developed a mental block).  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous day!

  1. This is simply stunning! I love the colors on it and since I’m first to comment on it, I think you should send it to me. LOL What do you mean by watercolored with Distress inks? Kathy Eddy

  2. Beautiful card. I love the color combo. Looking forward to more!

I read my hometown paper on line but it has very little. I always check the obits but I miss the engagements, weddings and anniversaries from the Sunday edition!

  3. Stunning! I love the way you used the nestability as a border! Fabulous card…love all the elements that bring it together.

  4. Another great card. I have the Memory Box Dewfrost paper; wish I had that Spice Berry, too. And I totally agree with you about the paper! Our local paper is not only fewer pages with more full-page ads, but they made the paper NARROWER. There are certain comics I can’t even read anymore, because the print in the cartoon is so small. Pretty soon it may disappear altogether.

  5. Gorgeous card Sherri!

  6. My mom cancelled her paper, now I save the puzzle page, which also had the bridge playing tips and comics on it. Her paper was down to ads and obits, but she can read the obits online. That’s how you’ll know if you’re dead yet.

    Love the card too!

  7. Sherry,

I am really loving that stamp company, your card is very beautiful!!!! Hugs…Terre

  8. The card is beautiful. Love the colors you
chose. Boohoo, I don’t have the
    labels 6…at least not yet…LOL.
I enjoy checking each day to
see what you come up with
    to inspire us.

  9. Gorgeous card!!!

  10. You sure do have a card today, and it’s a beauty! Wow!

  11. This is beautiful, Sherry….love that pretty image and your coloring looks FABO!!!! Beautiful paper, tooo…I have some of that somewhere….better go find it!!!!

  12. Beautiful card Sherry. Your coloring is superb. I never would of thought to use the nestie that way, it’s a clever idea. I have to look at my nesties in a new way. TFS!!! your work with us. If your muse stays absent much longer you can borrow mine.

  13. Oh so beautiful….made my day.. reminded me of my grandmothers door..the color and holly swag. The “Good Days of a Daily Paper” I think are gone..Had the same thing here in Iowa..a week ago..starts the day off on the wrong foot. Then try to watch the new method of Digital TV in the country, words and picture are all distorted.
But the sunshine is out and the Card Stamping prevails. Thanks for your great inspiration.

  14. so pretty, love the embossing and your panel on the side is too cool! Great card!

  15. Hello

My first face thing seems to be about your wrapping paper choice. My first thought was “how lame” this is just what I thought that it would be. Upon further review, it’s really pretty cool to know what you are thinking about.

In a perfect universe, you and I would have ruled the world together

(And then you would have had me killed)

  16. sigh. This is why you are Yoda and I am merely a padawon. THIS IS GORGEOUS!! (and just how am I suppose to continue using this stamp now?!! humph….)

I need to make a BIG ol’ list of dies for my b-day/christmas list for DH….hehe

  17. Love the Labels six panel on the side – very clever!

  18. Beautiful card Sherry. Such rich colors and I love how you used the Nesties. Very cool!

  19. You certainly are “on a roll” ~ a B*E*A*U*T*I*F*U*L one !!! The demasked CS reminds me of a cherished, heirloom French duvet 🙂 Super elegant.

  20. This is gorgeous, Sherry. Don’t you love all the things you can do with those Spellbinders dies?

  21. SO beautiful! Love your use of the silk thru the buttons — conservative use of silk but still lets that beautiful ribbon shine — well done!
