Happy Tuesday!  I’d say good morning, but my morning passed before I hit the floor this morning.  Well not really, but by the time I got the coffee going, the pups out and then Mr. Stodgy came in and interrupted my crossword puzzle . . .  it was noon.

As I continue on with T!m’s Smiley from millan.net 12  Tags of Christmas I’m having more and more fun.  Today I have Tag 5 for you  . . . and here’s T!m’s Smiley from millan.net Tag 5.

Tag5

I used copper foil for the top and bottom pieces, die cutting/embossing with Spellbinders™ Classic Lace Border.  To tone down the bright look of the copper, I added some alcohol inks and then brushed on Green Patina Perfect Pearls.  The ornaments are made from Graphic 45 paper.  Even though I forgot to add the copper foil to two of the ornaments (oops), I went around the edges with gold paint.  This was a fun tag to work on!

Well, I’m off to grab some breakfast/lunch, more coffee and then come back to the studio.  I hope you have a fabulous day and thanks for joining me on the BAD Side for a few minutes!

Happy Monday!  I can’t believe it, but all my chores are finally done.  The house is decorated for Christmas, the bills are paid, the doctor visits are almost over and now I need to get busy in the studio.  Not much time to do so much in.  You see I’m having hand surgery on the 18th and I know that I need to have some special projects done before then because . . . well, what if I can’t use my left hand for awhile?  Ya know what I mean?

I’m still working on T!m’s Smiley from millan.net 12  Tags of Christmas, when I should probably be doing other things, but I just can’t help myself.  I’m also very behind  . . .  I sure hope I get to do them all!  Today, I have Tag 4.  Here’s T!m’s Smiley from millan.net Tag 4 and my version below.

I added some ribbon and a few Spellbinders™ to see if I could incorporate them on a tag.  Yes, I can!  Using the Ranger Gold Paint Dabber, I went around the edges of the tag and the oval sentiment.  While the border was still in the die, I stenciled with the gold paint.  Now that was just too cool . . . I may be doing that a little more in the future!  One other touch I almost forgot about . . . I spritzed all the paper with Worn Lipstick/Gold Pearlized Distress Mist.  I think it took some of the other colors out of the tag and if I had to do it over, I don’t know that I would.  But hey you never know until it’s done.

Happy Friday!  To continue on with T!m’s Smiley from millan.net 12  Tags of Christmas, I was able to finish up Tag 2 last night!  Of course, I should have been working on the bills, doing laundry, blah blah blah, BUT  . . . the urge to create was way toooooooooooo strong!

Here’s T!m’s Smiley from millan.net Tag 2 and my version below.Tag2

I had to make a number of changes with this tag as I don’t have some of the images T!m Smiley from millan.net used.  I also made my photo corners with copper foil, Spellbinders™ Flourish Impressabilities and Gold EP.  I did have some of T!m’s Smiley from millan.net foliage pieces, which I did use some of the leave, but I had a different idea for the flower.  Even though I thought the idea of bending and twisting the foliage was sheer genius, I knew immediately that I wanted to use one of the faux porcelain flowers that I created the other day.  I did add a long fastener so that I could fasten the flower to the tag.

Well that’s all I have for right now!  I’m going to find out what Tag 4 is and get to work on Tag 3.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous day!

Oh and by the way, I’ve already torn off the one Grunge Board Flourish from the butt of the snowman from Tag 1.  I like the tag much better now!

Happy Thursday!  I hope you’ve had a great week so far.  I finally snuck into the studio this morning BECAUSE I’ve been watching what T!m Smiley from millan.net is doing everyday and I’m falling behind.  He’s up to Tag 3 and I just finished Tag 1.  Since T!m Smiley from millan.net started doing the 12 Tags of Christmas, I’ve never played along.  I made up my mind a few weeks ago to also do the tags, but put my own personal spin on them.

Here is T!m’s Smiley from millan.net Tag 1 and below is mine!

Tag!

I followed along with T!m’s Smiley from millan.net tutorial, but added my own personal touches.  Way too much fun!  I didn’t want a black snowman, so I made him purple by stamping in Eggplant.  But first, I painted a section of the Grunge Board white, so that I could stamp over it and not do a resist.
