Much to my dismay I haven’t been able to transfer over the subscribers.  Everything I’ve tried has failed so I must ask that you re-subscribe to the new blog.  I hate that you have to do this and I don’t like inconveniencing any of you  . . . BUT am asking pretty please with sugar on top that you do.  Once again, here’s the new blog on Typepad . . . . Walkin’ on the BAD Side!  You’ll need to follow the link and on the left hand side there is a place to sign up for email or for a reader!  If you have questions, email me!

Thanks so much and I’ll see you on the other BAD side!

Hey y’all!  Because I want a little more creative freedom over my blog, I’ve decided to switch to Typepad.  My new blog can be found here:

Walkin’ on the BAD Side! It’s still a work in progress, as this is the first time I’ve been in the studio since my last post.  Until I can get this blog imported to the new, I’ll have a reference back to this blog.  For you email subscribers I’m hoping to switch over the feed so you won’t have to resubscribe.  I’ll send a test on the new blog once I’ve done that to see if it worked.  For you that subscribe in a reader, I’m afraid you’ll have to subscribe to the new feed.  I’m sorry for any inconvenience this will cause you, but I believe in the long run we’ll all be much happier!

Entering the contest is now closed.  Thank you for participating and good luck!

You WILL be excited!!

I’m thrilled to share my Spellbinders™ Surprise Party!! project with you. I have two different cards to show you, each made with the same supplies. I thought it would be fun to show how one image can look different by changing techniques.

For my first card, I decided to layer my image using Spellbinders™ S4-246 Labels Eleven. Here’s a close up of the image.

I’ve made a video tutorial explaining how I die cut/embossed each individual layer and layered them as one image.

Die Name: Labels Eleven

Die SKU: S4-246

MSRP: $24.99

Die Dimensions:

1. 1-1/8 x 13/16”

2. 1-3/4 x 1-1/4”

3. 2-3/8 x 1-11/16”

4. 2-15/16 x 2-1/8”

5. 3-5/8 x 2-9/16”

6. 4-1/4 x 3”

For my second card, the same image was covered with Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint and then sponged with ink. Using Spellbinders™ S4-246 Labels Eleven, I cut two frames to highlight the image and background panel.

    • Spellbinders™ S4-246 Labels Eleven, Spellbinders™ S5-014 Deckled Mega Rectangles Small, Spellbinders™ S5-015 Deckled Mega Rectangles Large, and S7-014 Classic Lace Border Grand
    • Downloaded Image from Twisted Papers
    • Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White; Prism Herbal Garden Medium and Stormy Medium; My Mind’s Eye Life Stories “Antique Flowers” and “Green Plain”
    • Ink: Ranger Old Paper, Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap Distress
    • Accessories: Ranger Rock Candy Distress Stickles and Distress Crackle Paint, Matte Accents; 7 Gypsies Antique Brass Paper Fasteners; 1.25” 100” Silk May Arts Ribbon – Champagne from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store; Vintage Buttons
