  13. Hi, I’ve made this kind of flower with old book pages, so each flower has some kind of writing on it, but like the coffee filter ones that have some color better. Thanks for sharing. Edna

  14. You are so fun!, Thanks for sharing your creativity and spirit. Can’t wait to try these.

  17. Oh dear, the coffee filters I have are the thicker ones, kind of triangular shaped to fit a coffee peculator machine. They don’t look so fine. I’m a tea drinker and hubby drinks instant or uses French press/ coffee cafétere for ground coffee. I will need to look out for the type you used. These flowers are so pretty. Thanks for the tutorial.

btw, your hair is fairly coming on now, it won’t be long, maybe a couple of months then you can get it styled the way you had it before. Looking good Sherry, take care.

  18. this could even be a girl scout project for Mother’s day. Fun project Sherry.

  19. Sherry, you are an awesome teacher and I can hardly wait til I get home to my supplies and try this technique. What a beautiful flower. I am so glad that you are doing well and your hair is growing. Keep it up!! Thank you for sharing this video. You did a fantastic job.

  20. Girl you da bomb! I too am such a visual learner. You did a great job as always. I found your blog right after your surgery. I sub to several peoples blogs but when yours pops into my inbox it is the first one I look at. I am just so amazed with your talent. Well I would like to pass along to the other ladies that coffee filters are great to use when embossing or glittering something. They don’t have static electricity. Just hold your image over the filter sprinkle your embossing powder on your image. When you are done just fold the filter in half and pour your powder back into the container. No mess and no waste. Thank you for your tutorial. Going to my room to make some flowers.

  21. Hi Sherry – I’ve been a fan of yours for some time but have never written to you before so I thought this would be a good opportunity to tell you how much I love your work. You are so talented and you do amazing things. Thank you so much for sharing your art work with all of us. I love it when people want to share what they know so everyone can enjoy creating. Sometimes all it takes is a visual to be able to do that. This is another great video lesson and I thank you so much. Beautiful flower and I do have everything you used so I can use those filters that I have stacked in my art room waiting for that “someday I’m going to use those things moment”. Have a wonderful day and I am so happy that you are recovering from your surgery so well. Have a wonderful day!

  22. Nice video Sherry – I thought for sure you were going to show how to make the “bright” one with Ranger pigment inks – you surprised me with the mini misters! Again – love that flower! Great technique and loved the little trick on folding up the filter to cut all your petals at once!

Glad to see your hair is making a come back!

  23. Great video! Off to give this a try right now! Thanks for the inspiration!

  24. Great video tute, Sherry!! I loved it and can’t wait to try it myself. No shortage of coffee filters at this house either!! So glad I took the time to check out the video!! Thanks for sharing your talents and so glad you are back in your stamping studio more often!

I love your blog and have been a lurker for a long time. You are an inspiration in so many way, God Bless you and keep you safe.

  33. Sherry – I know you don’t think so but you are one spunky, brave lady!! I too went thru cancer (breast) but was so lucky and only had to have radiation and no chemotherapy. I guess I was like any other woman in that I was afraid to lose my hair, but the women I met at the clinic getting chemo and who had lost their hair were so inspiring and spirited!!

All I can tell you is you look like you are getting everything you can out of life and the hair will come back – right now what shows are your beautiful eyes!! YOU GO GIRL!!

  34. Fantastic video…. when i saw your coffee filter flowers the other day, I fell in love with them, but wondered how you did it. I am so glad that you did the video… because I had gone and bought coffee filters and thought that I would give it a try! Now, I know I can do it because of all the helpful things in your video.

I also wondered after I saw the earlier post if using a lunch sack would work… I did make a beautiful flower. It was because of your post that I tried something that was out of my comfort zone.

    Thanks!

    Happy Valentines Day.

  35. Miss Badness ~ Your new DoooOO is as cute-as-a-button 🙂 I’m amazed at how fast it has grown in!

These coffee filter flowers are sweet, but I have to get one of those non-stick mats from Ranger. I think they will make a stunning Magnolia bloom =)

    Thanks Sherry.

    xoxo

I love that you are so honest with your hair-loss situation, and it inspires many! I’m a B/C survivor since 2002 and love it when a woman is proudly representin’ the girls who have lost their hair for one reason or another!
What a great video, loved to see ya get all inky and demo the flower. I want to try it myself now. I love gettin’ my hands all messy!
Wish we could get 2gether & do some craftin’ & have some coffee… oh wait… I’m one of those un-lucky folks who has bad gittery reactions from COFFEE!!!!!! Darn it… OK maybe I’m not so Bad-ass, but I guess I’m a low-octane Bad-Ass!!! LOL! XOXO

  56. Just wanted to say thank you for sharing. Because I am caring for a 90 year old very frail mother, I am pretty restricted to home these days, and it really adds to my life to find people like you so willing to share your ideas. On top of that you are a beacon of courage and hope for dealing with your cancer and not letting it take over your life. Now I have to go find those coffee filters and make a flower.

  57. Sherry, your coffee filter flowers are awesome. Thanks so much for
    sharing with us. : )
Could you please tell me the recipe (parts water and PP) for the Perfect Pearls and water.
I can’t wait to try this.
