Okay guys . . . you asked, I heard, I made it! After I posted my class project the other day where I used coffee filters to make flowers, so many of you asked for a tutorial.  Well, here it is . . . and please do be kind!

Girl….I love these flowers. I am always trying to make life like flowers and these are so natural looking. Like you I always have coffee filters. I cannot wait to try these!
I am so proud of you! You have been through alot and still seem to just going and going. I look forward to see what you do next!

Sherry you are a GENIUS!!!!!! I loved what you did with the labels eleven die the you premiered for spellbinder and thought that couldn’t be topped, will girl you just topped that. I love the sassiness of your hairdo now, easy to care for. Glad your okay. I had planned on trying to figure this out but thanks for the video I don’t have to.

Oh dear, the coffee filters I have are the thicker ones, kind of triangular shaped to fit a coffee peculator machine. They don’t look so fine. I’m a tea drinker and hubby drinks instant or uses French press/ coffee cafétere for ground coffee. I will need to look out for the type you used. These flowers are so pretty. Thanks for the tutorial.

btw, your hair is fairly coming on now, it won’t be long, maybe a couple of months then you can get it styled the way you had it before. Looking good Sherry, take care.

Girl you da bomb! I too am such a visual learner. You did a great job as always. I found your blog right after your surgery. I sub to several peoples blogs but when yours pops into my inbox it is the first one I look at. I am just so amazed with your talent. Well I would like to pass along to the other ladies that coffee filters are great to use when embossing or glittering something. They don’t have static electricity. Just hold your image over the filter sprinkle your embossing powder on your image. When you are done just fold the filter in half and pour your powder back into the container. No mess and no waste. Thank you for your tutorial. Going to my room to make some flowers.

Nice video Sherry – I thought for sure you were going to show how to make the “bright” one with Ranger pigment inks – you surprised me with the mini misters! Again – love that flower! Great technique and loved the little trick on folding up the filter to cut all your petals at once!

You made a great video! The flower looks so real, am going to try this soon. I have a stack of coffee filters in my room that I use to catch glitter, embossing powder, etc. so am so glad to see another use for them!

Sherry – I know you don’t think so but you are one spunky, brave lady!! I too went thru cancer (breast) but was so lucky and only had to have radiation and no chemotherapy. I guess I was like any other woman in that I was afraid to lose my hair, but the women I met at the clinic getting chemo and who had lost their hair were so inspiring and spirited!!
All I can tell you is you look like you are getting everything you can out of life and the hair will come back – right now what shows are your beautiful eyes!! YOU GO GIRL!!

Fantastic video…. when i saw your coffee filter flowers the other day, I fell in love with them, but wondered how you did it. I am so glad that you did the video… because I had gone and bought coffee filters and thought that I would give it a try! Now, I know I can do it because of all the helpful things in your video.
I also wondered after I saw the earlier post if using a lunch sack would work… I did make a beautiful flower. It was because of your post that I tried something that was out of my comfort zone.

Oh my gosh, these flowers are fantastic!!! Love the video, thank you for sharing with us. I’m going to give these a try. And love the tip of using the heat gun after spritzing the edges to give the flowers more 3-d effect. 🙂

Sherry, your tutorials are great — and I’m not just being kind — you always make me feel like I”m sitting right there next to you! I don’t want to get into another project, I only watched the darn thing because I love you — and now I can’t wait to try it out — finally an excellent idea for using up all those coffee filters left over from girl scouts! (We don’t have that kind of a pot!) I can see whole bouquets of these little buggers!

Just wanted to say thank you for sharing. Because I am caring for a 90 year old very frail mother, I am pretty restricted to home these days, and it really adds to my life to find people like you so willing to share your ideas. On top of that you are a beacon of courage and hope for dealing with your cancer and not letting it take over your life. Now I have to go find those coffee filters and make a flower.
