Good Friday morning! I can’t believe I haven’t been in the studio all week. Okay wait, I take that back! I was in there Wednesday when I prepped and packed up for my last class at Lavender Sentiments. Lavender Sentiments is closing and I’ve enjoyed my classes so much, that I’ve decided to have them here in my home! If you are in the Southern Indiana/Louisville, KY area and want some info on the classes, send me an email. I’ll add you to my mailing list! I’ll be updating and changing my class page in the next day or so.
I also can’t believe that we are already on the Just For Fun® 6th Color Challenge! I think we are picking up new players each week and I for one have enjoyed seeing all your cards . . . way too much fun! Let’s see what you can do with these!
I was a little apprehensive about these colors, but I’ve got to tell . . . I really liked working with them!
The first thing I did was pick my designer paper (Pink Paislee 365 Degrees) then picked my image. I colored the image with markers, misted with water, stamped on white, then die cut/embossed with Spellbinders™ S4-140 Petite Ovals – Small. My background image, Grain & Coal, was stamped in Pumice Stone Distress Ink on a white shipping tag then die/cut embossed with Spellbinders™ S4-202 Deckled Rectangles – Large. The frame around the image was made with Spellbinders™ S4-246 Labels 11. The edges of all paper were sponged with Old Paper Distress Ink.
- Stamps: F3045 Grain & Coal and F2716 Queen Anne’s Lace from Just For Fun® Rubber Stamps
- Paper:Â Neenah Classic Crest Solar White; White Shipping Tag; Prism Spring Willow Medium; Cream; and Pink Paislee 365 Degrees from eclectic Paperie
- Ink:Â Ranger Pumice Stone and Old Paper Distress Ink; Tombow Markers
- Accessories: Spellbinders™ S7-014 Classic Lace Border Grand, S4-140 Petite Ovals – Small, S4-246 Labels 11 and S4-202 Deckled Rectangles – Large; Mauve 100% Silk May Arts Ribbon from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store; Ranger Matte Accents; 7 Gypsies Antique Silver Paper Fasteners

These challenges have been a real eye opener for me…I’m learning everyone has a different take on the same three colors and the choices abound!! this is a really beautiful card.
Love how your image turned out, beautiful and soft. I also love the borders and how you positioned the frames. That grain and coal stamp is pretty gorgeous too and I love that you cut it with a deckled edge. I must try this new to me challenge!

Your card is gorgeous Sherry. I love the way you angle your elements. The focal image is so soft in it’s color, just done so nicely. The pretty pink ribbon adds for a nice finishing touch. TFS!!! 😀
