Smiley from millan.net It seems like forever since I’ve posted, but I know it’s not. I’ve been a little under the weather since last weekend’s trip . . . Smiley from millan.net sore throat, sleeping a bit, blah blah blah. In between naps yesterday I got all my stamping gear stored away and the studio picked up and cleaned. Then I was ready to create.

I love the Garden Girls set from Crafty Secrets and was drawn to it yesterday when I was looking for an image to work with. The stone fence in the image I chose reminds me of the fences around Lexington, Kentucky, that are so unique and beautiful.

The image was colored with Copic Markers and then the edges were sponged with Pumice Stone Distress Ink. I used Spellbinders™ Labels Eleven to offset the image and to layer it. I used some new designer paper for the background and to make the flower. Speaking of the flower, I used Spellbinders™ Flower Creations 3 and then make a small cut between each petal. Using the same technique in my Paper Flower Video, I worked just the edges of each petal to make them stand up for dimension.

That’s all for now. Since my studio is clean I’m planning to spend the day creating away! Thanks for stopping by and remember . . . . Life is short; enjoy the adventures of the day!

  1. Wow Sherry,
You got all that work done and created a beautiful card while in between naps and not feeling well. Could you come to SC and do my studio and maybe clean the whole house now that you are feeling better?
Seriously I hope that you are feeling much better and as usual I love checking in to see just what you have created.

  2. Another lovely card Sherry, you must have a lot of patience doing all that stitching on so many of your cards. Well done you, getting your studio picked up and cleaned.
I keep wondering when I will ever finish tidying my craft room.
My intention starts off good, then I see a space to create art, then a pretty paper or stamp shouts out to me to play, lol.
The tidying gets shelved for another day, or at best, later that day…..
… until I spot another crafty article that wants me to play again……. help!!!
    hugs
    Alexandra
