Happy Thursday! I feel so much better today . . . . almost back to my old BAD self! I’ve been out walking with the shihtzes this morning trying to keep them occupied since they decided to run around the house playing chase and barking this morning at 1:00 am. I think they’ve been missing their daily walks!
I started a card last night and then crapped out before I had it finished. After checking email and some other must do things, I went down to finish it.
The image was colored with Copic Markers and a light coat of Ranger Rock Candy Stickles was applied to the wings. Before the Stickles tried I shook on a bit of crystal glitter.
When I was working on the layout, I remembered some old Fairy Tale books that I’ve had since I was a baby. I ripped out one of the pages to use as a background piece. The best thing . . . I didn’t have to ink the edges to look old!
The inside of the card is stamped Birthday Wishes!

I love the “assemblage” style of your cards. I also love fairy stories. I am so attached to my books that I probably would not have been able to rip one of them up, so I bought a ton of old books and dictionaries at the Friends of the Library Old Books Sale, which is a great compromise! Now I can rip into those books with abandon! Thanks, as always, for the inspiration you give!
Your card is so precious. I love the addition of ‘real’ story book paper and the little ticket. Thank you for sharing! :o)
I love it! Beautiful colors and layout and I adore that little fairy. That book page is perfect and so is the 1 wish coupon!!
EEEAAAKKKK!! I don’t think I could rip apart one of my books! But I love how you put together all these elements!
Great composition, Sherry. Gorgeous colors and I like the ripped out book page it goes so well with the main focal. The whole card is so soothing to the eye. Nice work Sherry. TFS!!! 😀
I just LOVE this one Sherry! The use of the old book page, all the little touches that make this card stand out… gorgeous!
Sherry this is one of my all time favorite cards by you! You can always send it to me! 🙂 Let me know if you’ve misplaced my home address! Luv ya! Mary
