Good Saturday morning! Did I tell you that my daughter, Kate, got married back in March? Oh I did! Here’s their picture on this post. I said then that we would eventually give them a reception. Well, today is the day! All the family and friends have been invited to Kate and Will’s new home for an Open House, a barbecue and plenty of libations! They are very excited to have everyone visit so they can show off the new digs . . . . they’ve been doing so much work on it and it’s an adorable little house. I’m so excited to be seeing out-of-town family especially since it’s for a joyous occasion instead of something sad. I’m sure I’ll have plenty of pictures by the end of the day!
I received some new stamps in the mail before I left for Orlando and then this week I received some new Webster’s Pages. Oh wow! I decided to take some time last night and whip out a card using all my new stuff. It was nice to take a break from all the CHA projects that are spread out all over the house. I could barely find the new papers . . . actually, everything is such a mess (so unlike me) that I really can’t find anything. I’m just about at my wits end with it all and will have to clean and put away before I start the next round of projects.
Okay, so here’s my card. I’ve had this in mind since I saw the set (Wordsworth Remembering – Poetry of the Earth).
I stamped the trees lightly with Crushed Olive and then stamped the sentiment over the top in Coffee. The paper is sewn to a background piece of cardstock. The only thing inked is the sentiment. I sanded the edges of the background papers.

Terrific card Sherry! LOVE how you tied that gorgeous silk ribbon! Have a wonderful day with your daughter and loved ones!!!
So pretty, Sherry. Love the colors, layout, and beutiful silk bow. Thanks….
Have a GLORIOUS time celebrating today!!
I love that sentiment. Immediately it came to mind as to why I prefer mtn. biking over rode cycling….in the mountains I’m away from it all. Even though I can be struggling, it is so refreshing not dealing with people, cars, etc. It is a time to clear my mind and just let things be.
oh I love your card….. partially because it is truly beautiful as everything you create always is, but also because I find such truth in that senti.
have a lovely time today. kick up your heels and celebrate your dd’s happiness! tell her all of blogland is just tickled for her! 😀
