Happy Labor Day!Β  Well, I have to show you what I did.Β  never one to leave well enough alone . . . I totally β€œf’d” this one up.

cast3

now I’m thinking I need to paint the whole thing black, add some gold chains and kick some butt!

Can you tell what I did?Β

some purple alcohol inks, some rock candy stickles . . . hated it.Β  Decided then to wipe it down with blending solution and it still looks like crap.Β  last night while watching the race I was filing my nails and the nail file slipped.Β  can you see some white areas?

Cindy I like your idea of dollhouse furniture!Β  How long will it take you to get here?

One more thing before I go . . . Today is the last day to take advantage of the Labor Day Discount code at eclectic Paperie.Β

I know, you don’t have to tell me . . . BAD girl that I am . . . I am such an enabler.Β  BUT seriously . . . I have a project to show you and I would hate for you to miss out on these great Maya RoadΒ canvas tags!Β Β  Here’s why!

UnitySuziBluBROKEmyHEART

So how did this tag become to be?Β  I was at CHA in the Maya Road booth and saw the tags.Β  I had already been in the Unity Stamps booth and had fallen in love with the new Suzi Blu stamps.Β  Daisy and I asked if we could try something with the tag and they very graciously gave us one.Β  We ran back to the Unity booth, told them of our plan and there we had it . . . a canvas tag stamped with a Suzi Blu stamp.Β  Iβ€˜ve hesitated in uploading this because eclectic Paperie is still waiting on their shipment of Suzi Blu stamps.Β  I’m having faith that since I’ve now posted it, they will be arriving any day now and Daisy will let me know so I can order some!Β  You know . . . it’s like waiting for your dinner to arrive in a restaurant, you finally give up and go to the bathroom and when you get back . . . your dinner was served!

This image was water colored with Distress Ink re-inkers, and I can’t wait to try it with some acrylic paints.

SEE why I said I didn’t want you to miss out on the canvas tags?Β

That’s all I have for now.Β  Thanks for stopping by and remember . . . life is short, take advantage of the adventures that some your way!

    You just crack me up!!
You would fit right into my crack pot family. [said lovingly πŸ™‚ ]
    Never change girl.
    Myrna

  2. Sherry, can you paint your cast and start over with a clean slate? Do you have a can of white spray paint handy???

  3. Hey, slap a little designer paper on there – you can change it to match your outfit!! Hope you’re feeling better soon…

  4. LOL!!! I’m thinkin some Buckskin fringe some barbed wire and a bit of rope…. πŸ˜‰

  5. Sorry about the creativity mishap with your cast! At least you tried! It still looks so much better than plain ole white! Thanks for sharing that tag. The image is too cute! You take care and take it easy…hugssssssss!!!

  6. You could go for the Bad Ass Biker Babe motif for the cast…..haha!
    Keep up the good work!

  7. Would just like to say that I sympathize with you. I had a mishap last evening and broke my wrist…what a bummer!!! All my plans for doing cards just went out the window! My forearm is wrapped in purple…too dark to put anything on it. Get a cast on Thursday, so hopefully it will be a lighter colour! Thanks for sharing the tag. At least we can go on the computer!!!

  8. This canvas tag is adorable. I so want to CAS you! You are da bomb!!!

  9. How dare you tell the world that you “f-d” up your cast? You daughters…Mallory and I…created that wonderful butterfly. If I see something else on that cast I will never come to your house again.

  10. you didn’t ‘f… ” up the case….. but I so know what you mean. I can never leave good enough alone and then end up screwing it up so much more…..

Love that canvas tag….. I’ve been laid up, in my attempt to get a ‘funny’ picture, I jumped out of a tree. Yeah….. good times. I’m just now coming back to life…. lol…

  11. A stamping friend and I call that “going one technique too many.” LOL Feel better soon.

  12. Hehehe! Sherry, you have way too much free time on your hands and too many craft supplies close by! I never thought I would ever hear those words or see them in print! XD
Hope you are feeling better and the hand isn’t giving you too much grief…other than artistically speaking!
    Thanks for sharing! :o)

  13. Thanks for the laugh, I think the cast looks so distressed, I wouldn’t change a thing. I like your canvas tag project very much right down to all the fibers, coloring with distress re-inkers gives for a unique look, I’ll have to try that. TFS!!! Sherry. πŸ˜€

  14. Get one of T!m’s masks….and try the alcohol inks again (and don’t let Kate scare you…..just have her come over to help and all will be forgiven!! hehe)

  15. I’m with Starla…..Kate is bluffing. Surely the two of you together can come up with something that goes with their butterfly. I can’t believe you are going to let a little thing like pink get the best of you! Go get em!

  16. How about slapping some black on there, decorate with foil pens and glow-in-the-dark markers, and maybe some flat-back Swarovski crystals?

  17. You should totally paint that cast black! Love the idea of chains and bling! You have enough Tim hardware to practically cover the thing!

LOVE that canvas tag book! AND that great Suzi Blu stamp!!

I got happy mail today! Wow! It’s like Christmas!!!
