At Winter CHA, Inky Antics Rubber Stamps introduced a new product to the market . . . The HoneyPOP Collection.  This is such a different and fun collection that even us die hard vintagy/grungies love it! Jackie Lewis, the founder and Creative Director for Inky Antics, has a fabulous video tutorial, as well as a written one, on how to use these stamps in conjunction with the Honeycomb Pads.  You can find them both here on their eclectic Paperie home page.  Did I watch the video before I made my card . . . NO!  So needless to say I left out a few steps.

As an added surprise in today’s hop, Jackie thought it would be nice if all the designers gave away a set of HoneyPOPS and coordinating Honeycomb Pad!  She was very generous and gave each of us an additional collection that we will get to give away to one of our lucky readers. eclectic Paperie will also be giving away a $25 Gift Voucher on the eP Blog.

Here’s how you can win your own HoneyPOPS!  Simply leave me a comment telling me what you think of the HoneyPOP Collection and/or any of the projects you have seen on the hop.  You have  today and tomorrow to leave comments and the winners will be announced on Friday!

Don’t forget to leave comments for my fellow E-Team members.  Remember they are all giving away a HoneyPOP set too!

Now for my project!  I must first tell you, that even though these stamps are probably better suited to children, I found a way to work around that.  I made my card for any of my gray, wrinkled friends or maybe even some of my mother’s friends.  It’s just a little twisted campy humor!

EPHopApril20OUTSIDE

I colored the images with Copic Markers (W-1, 3 & 5; BG0000; BG10) and used some old BasicGrey Marrakech Designer Paper.  Marrakech is one of those papers that I had a hard time using (so I have tons of it) but when I think of elephants my mind automatically recalls the Marrakech paper.    Because I was coloring with Copic Markers, the images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black so the image wouldn’t smear.  The sentiment was stamped in Ranger Archival Jet Black because I prefer the crispness of the ink, and then die cut/embossed with Spellbinders Grommet Tags.

EPHopApril20INSIDE

Because I just can’t make a one-layer card (it would be stepping too far out of the box), I stamped the elephant on white cardstock cut to size for the card.  Because I decided on a top fold card, my balloon looks a little funky because of the Honeycomb lines.

Well, I think that’s it for me today!  Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to leave some comments for my fellow E-Team members!
