  1. This is beautiful. I have never even tried to use pencils or copic , always afraid I would end up with a version of a first graders drawing.

  2. Hi Sherry;
I don’t know if I just fell off the old turnip truck or not, but I am confused. What is a blending pencil that you use with prismacolors? I guess when I think of it, most of my colored pencils I use are Prang, but I honestly don’t know what a blending pencil is. Can you enlighten me?
BTW-I don’t see anything wrong with your pumpkin card! I am hoping to find a good deal for the lacey ovals by Spellbinders and their edgeabilities too.
    Thanks,
    Renie

  3. The pencils do make a beautiful card. Wish you’d do a tutorial on the way you did it without gamsol. Edna

  4. Love the card and the colors, thank you for sharing it.

  5. Beautiful, love the papers and great coloring, love the fullness in the seam binding!

  6. OH my!! This has totally inspired me to get out my pencils!! It has been forever in a day since I’ve used them (ok…probably going back to the beginning of my stamping days!!) Gorgeous

  7. I love Prismacolor pencils! and I love blending with just the pencils. I never use the blending pencil becuase you cannot continue to layer colors once you’ve used it. Thanks for sharing!

  8. Beautiful card Sherry, I really love working with pencils, but haven’t used them for a while. I think I may have to bring them out to play again.

  9. Beautiful card! Love the pumpkin….I almost forgot what we used before copics came out . Thanx for the inspiration

  10. I like using colored pencils-I loved coloring when I was growing up. Very similar to me. The shading you get with them is so realistic. Love your big bow! I guess being of a different material absorbing the ink is why the color is so different-it is amazing! Great job.

  11. Love this card, Sherry!

  12. Guess I’ll try breaking out the colored pencils and see if my pumpkin looks as beautiful as yours, Sherry 🙂 You really have a knack for coloring seam binding to match colors on your cards; you’re saving time and money doing the coloring yourself with good results.

  13. Sherry, Maybe in your spare time HEHE you could show us how to make colored pencils blend as beautiful as yours did. I can’t get my colored pencils to blend without gamsol. I love the way the colors blended on your pumpkin, put I like everything you make. Thank you for sharing.

  14. Oh Sherry! Your card is just beautiful! I will expect to see a lot more pencil colouring from now on young lady! Love the look you are getting!
Thanks for sharing and inspiring! 🙂

  15. What a beauty! You did a fabulous job with the pencils. Wonderful info on the blending pencil and Alexandra’s blending advice. I am a pencil girl, so your efforts on this one make me extra happy. I’m just normal happy about your Graphic 45 Christmas frame and your raining love card (papers on that are divine!) 😉

  16. Your card is gorgeous. Love the wonderful blending you were able to achieve using pencils. Fall paper palette is beautiful. Would love to be able to take a class with Karen. Maybe some day she will give a class in So. Cal.
