Hey everybody!  My sister told me today that I needed to do something with my blog.  I guess she’s getting tired of looking at the same old post.

I hope y’all had a fabulous Christmas and are gearing up for the New Year.  I for one will be doing the same thing I’ve done for every New Year’s Eve . . .  staying put in my jammies on the couch.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you for your comments, emails and well wishes.  You have truly touched my heart!

I still haven’t made it into the studio, even though my goal was head down this week.  Today . . . yes today will be the day!

For some medical updates . . . I did find out that I do have a discrepancy with the arteries in my heart.  The middle artery is short and does not reach the base of the heart like it should so I have some new medications that I’ve been adjusting to.  One med is to slow my heart rate and the other is to enlarge my arteries;

and

for all you ladies out there who know what “Living Out Loud” is all about (Menopause the Musical) . . . power surges, night sweats, memory lapses . . . you get the drift . . . I finally have got me some of them there hormones . . . look out! TOWANDA is on the move!  (one of my favorite scenes from Fried Green Tomatoes)

I guess that’s all I have to say today . . .

But I’ll be back with a Graphic 45 project that I did for the Petaloo Blog Swap.  I think you’re going to love it . . . . I know I do!

SHERRY SIGNATURE

I’m glad you’re taking it easy and so glad that they found the “discrepancy”. As for New Year’s Eve, I’ll be joining you. Except I doubt I’ll make it to midnight as far as staying up.

  13. That dirty word (menopause)…so thats whats wrong with me!!! Glad to see you getting back on track and cant wait to see a new project!! Have a quiet and safe New Year.

  14. Glad to hear you are on the mend and looking forward to seeing some inspiration when you finally get into the studio 😉

I saw Menopause the Musical 2 weeks after my double mastectomy (and 6 weeks after having my HRT stopped permanently!), it certainly brought tears to my eyes – but it was worth it. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much at anything before or since.

  15. So glad to have the update. Somehow I felt like the doctors weren’t finished with you yet! Hope the med adjustment goes quickly and that the hormone replacement works for you. As for Menopause…..well, we just won’t go there.

  16. You are too funny Sherry!! Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year- bring it on!!

  17. Sherry, I hope you are feelilng much better soon. We do miss you, but your health must be #1. Do take care and thanks for giving us an update!

  18. hoping you feel better real soon. getting older is not for sissies. that’s one reason i craft, to forget . looking forward to whatever you create whenever you create, cuz YOU ROCK baby.

  19. Glad Towanda is on the rise! We missed our bad girl of the crafting world! Hugs to you!

  20. So glad to see an update; I was worrying, too. Can’t wait for the G45 project; I know you’ll have something fabulous to show.

  21. Great to hear from you and glad the Doc’s are getting this all figured out for you. Hee-hee, sticking your face in the freezer during those hot flashes feels oh so good!

  22. I’m so glad you updated us, I’ve been fussing about your health issues. Best of luck with the medicines! That menopause stuff is really tough on us gals. I loved Menopause, the Musical, and could really relate (and still, unfortunately, can). Looking forward to your new creations!

  23. Glad you are on the right road with your health. I am a believer in the RIGHT hormone therepy..Love Wylie Protocol I feel better than I have in years and I’m in my late sixties. Can’t wait for some new projects from your studio…I’m a serious fan!

  24. Happy to hear you are feeling a bit better and know what you need to do to get that Towanda self going. I am anxiously awaiting your new creations. They are always fun and often edgy. Keep smiling!

  25. So glad for the update, I was getting worried. I know its tough to adjust to new meds, I’ve been down that road. You will feel better and get back at ’em! I’ll be on the couch at New Years too, probably up until 9:00 or so. No sense staying up since Guy Lombardo and the Royal Canadians are no more. Sigh. Please start creating and funneling your Towanda into crafts. I can’t imagine what we can expect! Thinking about you and in my prayers gal, keep up the good attitude.
