Good morning!   Now that CHA has started and the first day is over, I’m free to show you some of the projects I’ve done for the Spellbinders™ booth.  The one I’m going to show you today has a special place in my heart.

I know I’ve told you that my daughter, Kate, is pregnant with our first grandchild.  What I’ve not been free to say too much about, is that it’s A GIRL!!!!!!!  (Well at least that’s what the ultrasound tech said . . . I’m gonna believe her.  Plus the day I went to the doctor with her, the baby’s heart rate was fast – 140+.  Now it has been my experience with my girls that their heart rates were fast and everyone I knew that had boys the heart rates were 130- . . . SO I’m going with the IT’S A GIRL thing!)

So in honor of my granddaughter, this is one of my projects (and hopefully I’ll get it back one day and it still looks in pretty good shape).

BabyFrameSummerCHA2012

I altered one of the $1 Michael frames by painting it Antique White and then covering it in Graphic 45’s Little Darling Collection.  The new baby’s picture can easily be inserted in the frame and the tag at the top of the frame will be perfect to record all the vital information . . . name, date, weight, height . . .

The flowers were made with the new Blossoms Five, the flourishes are from the new Venetian Motifs and the butterfly from Jewel Flowers and Flourishes.

The edges of the flowers were sponged with Chiffon Mix’d Media Inx, misted with water, shaped and then dried with the heat gun.  Once they were assembled, a little Glossy Accents was added to the edges and sprinkled with Diamond Dust Fine Vintage Glass Glitter.

All of a sudden I have a reason to love this Graphic 45 collection . . . who would have thunk!

That’s it for today . . .  I’ve got one more to show you tomorrow.  Thanks for stopping by and remember . . .  life is short, enjoy the adventures that come your way today!
