Good morning!  How is everyone?  I’m still trying to adjust from my trip to Arizona and having the babe back full-time . . . this old girl is just a little tired!  Thank goodness Mallory has been around this week to help me out a little here and there (especially with her crock pot dinners)!

Today is my day to post over on the Quietfire Creations Blog and I’ve worked up a journal page using my new paint samples from Lowe’s.  I am absolutely loving all the depth and texture I can achieve and I’m sure with a little more experimentation I’ll find more ways to get the results I’m going for.

You’ll have to visit the Quietfire Creations Blog to get all the details and more photos, so please join me over there!

Thanks for stopping by and remember . . .  life is short, embrace the adventures that come your way today!

  1. Love the innovative ways you are using those dies! Fun folk art page. Love it!

  2. ohhh I absolutely love that you used hearts for puffs of smoke from the chimney. Awesome idea and I love the spread. I haven’t gone to Lowe’s yet (and it’s sooooo hard) because I have a whole big tote full of paints I need to use up, sigh. I’m getting there though, lo….. am just slinging paint onto paper :-).
Yes, it does seem that the older we get, the longer it takes us to adjust to travel and kiddies. And then with the humidity really going up, it has really played havoc with my aches and pains.

  3. Love your journal pages, how I wish I had that talent. Thank goodness for your posts, they are so inspiring and helpful.

  4. Great pages. Love the colors, the shading, the texture and the images you chose. Fantastic!

  5. You make me want to get inky and painty!! Love the pages!!!

  6. Great job on your journal page!! I love all of the colors, texture and layers. Great stamp sentiment too! Hugs♥

  7. This so made me smile! I love everything about it Sherry and I wouldn’t change a thing! As far as I’m concerned, you got the best result! Love the colors and the pure whimsy and of course the QF stamp speaks volumes!!
