Happy weekend! I’ve been trying to get this project posted for a week now, but finding the time to finish it was difficult. Finally last night I was able to find a few minutes in the studio to put on some finishing touches. Now bear with me on this one, because in essence it’s nothing but a practice piece . . . since I’ve never attempted anything like this in the past.
While at the Spellbinders Retreat, Linda Peterson was there to teach a class on using the Spellbinders® Media Mixáge™ Line and how to look at the die templates in new and different ways . . . Exploring Beyond!
In her class we worked on making a metal birdhouse and quite honestly I was having a rather difficult time staying up with everyone around me. I didn’t finish . . . well most of us didn’t because we ran out of time . . . but a few actually completed the project by the end of class. I decided that if I got the basic concept down, then I could come home and try again.

Now here’s the one I completed here at home.
I painted my metal with Ten Second Studios Bronze Patina Paint and used their spray Patina to react with the paint.
I’ll definitely be trying this again hoping that I’ll amaze myself and actually learn how to loop metal!
