Good morning!  I can hardly believe that it’s Thursday already and I’ve been in the mood to work in the studio all week.  I think my trip to CHA was what I needed to get the mojo working!

I’m sure y’all are getting tired of me using The Magic of Oz right now, but I’m having fun playing with the different stamps that go along with this collection.  I’m also waiting on getting the other Graphic 45 paper collections and the stamps that go with those!

Anyhoo, today I decided to watercolor the Scarecrow from Magic of Oz Stamp Set 1.  The interesting thing about this image, is that I’m using a prototype of new inks made for Graphic 45 by Clearsnap.  The colors of ink match the papers and I’m over the moon and back!

When water coloring the image, I pushed the ink pad onto my craft sheet and then picked up the color from there.  I’m sure if I had used reinkers the colors would be much richer.  However, sadly I don’t have reinkers to match.  These inks are in testing and I can say without a doubt, I like them!  The colors I used are:  Triumphant Red (yeah a red that matches the G45 papers), Dark Cashmere, Antique Moss and Venetian Lace.  There is also a blue and black.

I love the little chipboard piece from Tags 2 that says “Remember” with this image.  Okay we can “remember” to save the date, or change it up a bit and I just “remember”ed it’s your birthday!  Lots of uses.

Well, I guess that’s all for now (I think I’ve lost my train of thought again).  Thanks for stopping by today and don’t forget that the eclectic Paperie Distress Stain hop is tomorrow!

Project Supplies:

Happy Saturday!  I finally arrived home last night after a 2+ hour delay in Chicago.  I also found out that I had been walking around CHA all week without a working phone . . . I had one phone call and couldn’t hear at all and come to find out, my phone was all screwed up. Smiley from millan.net took me over to the Apple store this morning and I did an exchange for one that works. Smiley from millan.net I’m also unpacked with a few loads of laundry started.  I’ll worry about getting stuff into the studio tomorrow  . . . when I plan to Smiley from millan.netall day with new stuff!

I’ve been scanning through Google Reader and have noticed that some of my projects from the Graphic 45 booth are being shown here and there, so I thought I would show one here today.  If I Only Had a Heart . . .

The paper and chipboard are from the new Graphic 45 paper, The Magic of Oz.  The black ribbon is also from Graphic 45 which was tied off with some dyed seam binding.  The hearts are chipboard that were painted red and then covered in Christmas Red Stickles.

The Tin Man was colored with Copic Markers and layered on Spellbinders ovals.  To be funny, I added a border cut from Contemporary Hearts . . . plus, it adds to the heart theme.

I guess that’s all I have for today.  I’m off to get some more things straightened up.  Thanks for stopping by and remember . . . embrace the adventures of the day!
