Good morning all! I hope everyone had a great 4th yesterday and enjoyed some fireworks. I got to see the ones down the street when I took the puppy out. As I am writing this, the rains have finally started. It’s been expected all day and it’s finally getting here. Of course, I am writing this at midnight, so I guess that constitutes morning. Oh how I love a good thunderstorm – the thunder, the lightening – love to watch it all! Wow this is one heck of a storm. The streets are already flooded, the house is shaking with the thunder, the sky is glowing with lightening, and I think I hear a car alarm off in the distance. Oh my it just makes my heart race!!!!

I finally finished up the last of my ATC swaps yesterday using more new rubbah! I told you. I acquired enough stuff recently to stamp something new every day for quite some time. So for this little card I decided to use a new image from The Cat’s Pajamas, Animal Train. I stamped the image in Brilliance Graphite Black on Neenah Solar White Cover and colored the image with Copic markers. The background piece I ran through the Cuttlebug using the Spots and Dots Embossing Folder.

Happy Tuesday! It’s hard for me to believe that tomorrow is the 4th of July and we have no plans. I’m sure both girls will be working, and if not will be spending the day with their friends – which gives me uninterrupted studio time – WOO HOO!

As I mentioned yesterday, I am in the land of ATC’s and swaps. I was hoping to be able to get the last two sets done yesterday, but as my luck would have it, I finished the second set this morning. For this set, I chose some of my new faves of SU’s new in-colors and what I think will be a much reached-for set, Baroque Motifs.

Baroque ATC

I double-stamped the flourish first in Soft Sky and then in Blue Bayou. The edges of the image panel were then sponged in Purely Pomegranate and flowers were added just here and there. For the medallion, I stamped the first image in Blue Bayou on Soft Sky and the second image in Soft Sky on white, stamping a red flower in the center. Both pieces of the medallion were then trimmed and sponged in Blue Bayou. The bottom medallion was distressed before sponging. They are separated by mounting tape to add a little dimension. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark and Purely Pomegranate and then embossed with clear EP.

Good Monday Morning! Hope everyone is having a great day so far. I have tons of projects to get together over the next few weeks so my stamping has a focus right now – thank goodness that a little of the mojo has crept back on. I’m going to share with you (what I can) as I complete each project here on my blog.

The first set of cards I have for you are some ACT’s that I have done for a swap. I have two more sets to complete and will be sharing those once they are done.  While I was in Orlando I picked up this new Cupcake stamp by Lockhart Stamp Co., (which still coincides with my personal challenge to use a new image as often as I can). The image was stamped with Brilliance Graphite Black on Neenah Solar White copy and then colored with Copic markers. (I think I might be getting the hang of the markers finally!) The sentiment, Sweet, is from the SU So Happy set. For just a little bling I outlined all the icing of the cupcakes with a Sakura Glitter Glaze Pen.
