Good Friday afternoon!  I have to tell ya, I’ve been up since 5:00 this morning and I feel like my day should be over.  Why was I up so early?  I have no flippin’ idea . . . I was tossin’ and turnin’ and decided to just get up.  I’ve done 4 loads of laundry, moved my laptop and some extra paper to the studio this morning and I have made a card.   I wasn’t feeling well yesterday . . . I might have a fever or . . . someone is out there Smiley from millan.net

Do you want to see my card?  I made it with another Unity itty bitty that I picked up at CHA.  Well even if you don’t, here it is.

UnityBraveGirlBoots

The boots were stamped on watercolor paper with Ranger Archival Coffee, painted with Tombow Markers and die cut/embossed (and matted) with Spellbinders™ circles.  The sentiment was stamped on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White and then die cut/embossed with one of the dies from the new Spellbinders Retro Mod Clocks.  I didn’t want the entire clock, so I trimmed it down to fit with the sentiment.

The paper, Cosmo Cricket Wanted, was distressed and then sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink.   The seam binding was dyed with Antique Linen too.

Well, that’s it for today . . . short and sweet.  Mallory is coming home this evening and I need to get her linens in order for her.

Thanks for stopping by and embrace the adventures that come your way this holiday weekend.

Good Thursday morning!  I hope y’all have had a good week so far.  I would tell you the story of what happened yesterday but . . . . I’m sure you would find it pretty boring.  Let’s put it this way . . . four of us went to get passports, two post offices later . . . . two got them, two did not.  Am I one who did?  Well of course not!  My certified birth certificate is no longer good for obtaining a passport (even though it says it is right there on the page) . . . so I’ll be delayed a month or so.  That’s okay, there is plenty of time to get my passport and to lose a few extra pounds.  My sister and I are calling it “Losin’ for Cruisin’!”

Enough about that  . . . but we are very excited.  All four of the adult children (and their spouses except for mine) are going on a 7-day cruise with the momma (step-momma for two of them).  See I can’t let it go . . . February is a way off!

Fast reverse to a few days ago in the studio.  Card making!  While at CHA I picked up a couple of Unity – Itty Bitty Stamps.  One of them was Halloween and since I’ve been in the mood to make Halloween cards recently, I couldn’t resist.

Here’s the outside:

The little ghost was colored with Copic Markers and then mounted on varying circle die templates from Spellbinders™.  The edges of the paper were distressed and then sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  The border was made with 2 of the new Edgeabilities.  See that sentiment . . . How do GHOSTS like to dance? . . . well look at the inside

I LOVE it!

By the way, the seam binding was dyed with a mix of Dusty Concord and Sky Blue to get just the right shade of purple.

Well that’s it for today except . . . remember life is short, embrace the adventures of the day!

Thanks for stopping by!
