Good morning!  I’m sharing a card over on the Quietfire Creations blog today using the set, Always Be My Friend.

FaithfulFriendRightW

You can find more photos and all the details over there . . .  BUT what I did not tell you about there is . . .

I used some new Tonic Studio dies!

If you were following along during CHA, there was a big buzz that Tonic Studios will be coming to the USA.  They’ve been in the UK for some time, but with this past CHA they are bringing their dies and other products to the US.  Check out the Tonic Gold site for lots of ideas and resources and/or you can find Tonic Studios USA on Facebook here.

I’m almost done with all my flower making, so hopefully I’ll be hitting the studio in the next day or so to work with some of Ken Oliver’s new product, Color Burst.  You are going to LOVE it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Project Supplies:

Hey y’all!  Today I’m sharing a card over on the Quietfire Design blog using one of their new stamps, The Best Kiss.

KOCWatercolorKiss3

I made this card for Ken Oliver’s CHA Booth, and it also incorporates his new paper lines, Watercolor Memories and Pitter Patter Patterns.  I can’t say enough good things about these paper lines . . . Oh my BADness . . . they are an absolute joy to work with and this Watercolor Memories line is absolutely gorgeous!  He designed the Watercolor Memories line from photos that he had taken of different flowers around his hometown.  Each page/sheet/design is a work of art!

The dies used for this card are from Tonic Studios, which you’ll be hearing more about after CHA. Tonic’s dies have been in the UK Market for some time now, and at this CHA they will be introducing them to the US Market.  I know I’ll have more to report!  Stay tuned!!!!

Oh and before I forget, you can read more about this card and see more photos over on the Quietfire Creations Blog today!

Okay  . . . that’s all for today.  By the way, who’s going to CHA?  Leave me a comment if you are so I can make sure to give you a hug!

Wow have I been gone for a little bit.  Well, not really gone but not able to post much.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday and if you have the crud like the rest of us, it hit you after Christmas Day!

I’ve been busy in the studio, and have a number of things to show you . . .  now that the holidays are over . . . but first and foremost, I must show you some CHA projects I’ve been working on.

Today’s project is one I’ve worked on for my friend, Ken Oliver, using one of his new lines of paper and inks, which are premiering at CHA.

STUDIOCabinet

The paper used is Ken’s new line, Studio, and it features items that he has placed around his home and in his studio.  If you were one of the lucky one who attended  his Art at the Edge and went to visit his home, you’ll recognize some of the images in the papers.  Quite frankly, it’s quickly become one of my favorites!!

The storage unit is the Verona Creative Storage Kit in the Forever Moments line by Tonic Studios.  I will say that this storage kit is quite the endeavor, 2 or 3 days to paint and assemble . . . well at least for me . . . but I do believe it is well worth it in the end!

STUDIOCabinetBack

The flower in the center at the top was made from bits and scraps of the left over paper, using Tonic Studios Scalloped Circle Layering Die Set.

I also need to mention that Ken’s papers come in 12×12 and 6×6, perfect for card makers and bigger projects, and it has a glossy finish making for a quite thick and sturdy sheet of paper!

So I think that’s all for me at this time!  Like I said earlier, I have so much to show you in the next few days . . . I’ll be back!

Good morning!  Before I start with my post today I have one very exciting thing to tell you . . . I’m walking my first official 5K Saturday morning!  I’ve been wanting to walk one all summer long and could never catch one on a good weekend.  Walking and keeping track of my weekly miles has become the norm since my weight loss journey began a year ago, so I’m pretty excited for this next adventure in my journey!

When I was at Art at the Edge, I was lucky enough to win one of the door prizes that weekend.  Now that in itself was something, because I never ever win anything.  What did I win?  I won a nice size gift bag of Tonic Studio dies!  I was pretty excited because I didn’t even know Tonic had dies . . . I have Tonic punches and scissors (which happen to be some of my favorite tools), but punches . . . oh my BADness!

I was really excited over a couple of the die sets that I received . . . .

LAYERED SQUARES measuring at the largest 5.5” and since most of the cards I make are 5.5 square, I couldn’t have been happier!  What’s even better is that part of the packaging is a magnetic sheet which the dies are on, along with a plastic sleeve with holes that can be put in a binder . . . easy peasy storage solutions right there with the packaging!  The notches that you see in the center edges help to align the dies up when placing more than one down, such as making the frame below.

I just happened to use those squares on my card today . . .

I also used one of the new Quietfire Design Christmas sets, It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.  This card is being featured over on the Quietfire Creations Blog today, where you can see more photos and get a few more details.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful day!
