Hello there!  I truly thought I would be able to get this project done and posted before tonight, but unfortunately it  just didn’t happen.

Since the first time I tried the PanPastels, I’ve had in the back of my mind working with them on more of an altered piece.  Yesterday I started the ground work and background for this Chunky ATC.

UnityChunkyATC Angle

The wood was covered with matte Glue ‘n Seal and then the tissue paper was applied to the wood.  Once the paper was dry PanPastels were applied to the tissue paper to create the background.

UnityChunkyATC Side

Flowers were added along with some foliage and flourishes.

Sentiments from Melody Ross – She Sprouted Wings by Unity were added for my own inspiration!

UnityChunkyATC IamFinding

That’s all for me right now!  It’s getting late and I’ve had a very long day . . .  time to snuggle in and read a little.

Good morning all!  Today is a great day on the Graphic 45 Blog!  It’s all about Altered Art and believe me . . . there are some great projects that are being shared today.

My project being shared today is a Chunky Tag that I created using papers, tags, stickers and lots of metal from the Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe Collection and Spellbinders™ Die Templates.  (Oh gee . . . could this be a class sample maybe?)

There’s more to be seen, but I want you to visit the Graphic 45 Blog SO . . . that’s where you need to go  . . . PLUS you’ll get to see some other fabulous projects!

Thanks for stopping by and remember . . . life is short, embrace the adventures of your day!

Oh and by the way, thanks for all the well wishes and notes for Mallory.  She’s been so sick over the weekend . . . we’ve been to the emergency room twice, the doctors office twice, and she had CT Scans on top of it all.  The bottom line . . . she’s being treated for kidney stones.  All the symptoms are there, they just didn’t show up in the scan.  She’s staying home with us until she’s well enough to drive and head back to school . . . graduation is only a few weeks away and we need to get her well enough to travel back so we can finally watch her get that 5-year degree!

Tags Blog Hop Part 1

Good morning and welcome to the first E-Team Seasonal Tags & ATCs Blog Hop!   When Daisy and I first talked about this hop series, the first thing we realized is that Christmas Tags seem to be overdone . . . BUT . . .  what about all the other holidays?  This new series, Tags & ATCs, will begin of course with Halloween (Be Spooky) and will continue through out all the other Holidays.

Participating in today’s hop are:

Daisy Sparks
Broni Holcombe
Latrice Murphy
Linda Duke
Linda Ledbetter
Sherry Cheever
Starla Nelson

Micki is not participating today because of some family issues.  She posted about it yesterday if y0u want to catch up with her.

It wouldn’t be an E-Team Blog Hop without prizes.  There will be three (3) winners drawn from the individual E-Team blogs, who will each receive a Tag/ATC Box.  Each box will contain an assortment of tags and ATCs, some Twinery samples and other eP Goodies!   It’s easy to win one of these boxes, just leave a comment on the E-Team’s blogs . . . you have 5 chances to win!

To be in the running for an eclectic Paperie $25.00 Voucher, leave a comment on the eP Blog letting Daisy know what your favorite Halloween Treats are.   I think mine have to be Caramel Apples (with nuts on the top)!

I couldn’t contain myself to a simple paper tag for this Blog Hop.  I dug deep into my pile of crap and found a 6” pre-cut and sanded piece of 2×4  . . . which makes a perfect size for a Chunky Tag!  To start, I covered the entire tag (except for the bottom) in two different patters from Fancy Pants Oct 31 6×6 Pads.  The excess was sanded away from the edges, which were then sponged with Black Soot and Vintage Photo Distress Inks.

ChunkyTagBONES

It’s hard for me to say which is my favorite side.  I call the one above Bones.  Rather obvious I guess.  The amber bottle is from a 7 Gypsies project I did at CHA and decided to rip apart.  The wood trim, skeleton, tombstone and skull all came from Michaels.  I was actually stunned that they had so many cool items.  Halloween IS my favorite time to decorate . . . well, Christmas too!  The Mr. Bones Petrified Butterflies sign came from an internet search.

This side I call Haunted Mansion.

ChunkyTagROSES

The image came from an internet search.  It was covered with Rock Candy Distress Stickle Paint and when dry, sponged Vintage Photo ink.  The excess ink was wiped off, leaving the ink in the cracks of the paint.  The black roses and swirls were die cut from Spellbinders™ die templates (shown at bottom).  The flowers were die cut from black cardstock and then misted with Black Smooch Spritz.  First time I’ve really used it and wow, what shimmer it has!  Both amber bottles are enhanced with idea-ology Hobgoblin Tissue Tape, which was covered with Crushed Olive and Dusty Concord.  The leaves were die cut with Spellbinders Foliage die template from GrungePaper.  They were colored first with Crushed Olive Distress Stain and then misted with a combination of Black Velvet and Green Olive Smooch Spritz.

Here’s another find at Michaels . . . The Raven!

ChunkyTagTOP

The rose was made the same way as the smaller two.

I put words down each side using a mixture of William and Noah Mini Alphabets from Maya Road.  (Don’t look to close . . . I misjudged my spacing)

ChunkyTagEERIE

The legs are wood beads that were painted black.  To see if I could get them to adhere better, without drilling, a nail was hammered for each bead.  The bead was then centered over the nail and filled with hot glue.  I’ll let you know if this works.  My thoughts are that the glue will surround the nail and then fill out to the sides of bead . . . hopefully holding the beads on.  A few times I just glued a bead on the bottom and then it pulls off with the paper.  Oh and this time . . . no paper on the bottom.

ChunkyTagSPOOKY

Well, I think that’s all I have today . . .

NO wait!  I just remembered  . . . one of my Christmas projects is being featured on the Graphic 45 Blog today.  When you are finished hoping with The E-Team, check it out!

Thanks for stopping by and remember, life is short . . . embrace the adventures of the day!

Project Supplies:

Good Monday morning!  Well, Mallory has gone back to school and my projects for Graphic45 are finally done and ready for priority mail.  The projects took a little longer than I anticipated, but I wanted to spend as much time with my girls as I could.

Now that my Graphic 45 projects are done and in the mail, I thought I would share them with you.  Since you’ve already had a sneak peek of the Chunky Tag, I’m going to start with that one.

The flowers are made from GrungePaper covered with G45 Botannicabella paper as is the 2×4 that I used as my Chunky Tag.   The feet are wood drawer pulls and the top is a metal one.

Let’s start with the butterfly side of the 2×4.  The center of the flower is a new metal embellishments from Graphic45, Metal Buttons.  The butterfly and background papers are affixed to Studio 490 Art Parts, ATC Art.

ChunkyTagButterflySide

This side of the tag has the same type of flower, but I added a new Studio 490 Art Part , Pocket Watches, and filled it with little bits and pieces.

ChunkyTagPocketWatchSide

One side and . . .

ChunkyTagFlowerSide

the other side.

I guess that’s about all I have for you today.  Oh except . . . you’re gonna love this Friday’s blog hop with The E-Team.  We’ve got some special guests joining us for one fun and very inspiring hop!

Thanks for stopping by and remember . . . life is short, embrace the adventures that come your way today!
