Happy Monday!  I trust everyone had a great holiday weekend and remained dry where you are.  It has rained here everyday for just about a week now . . . which put a damper on our 4th cookout . . . well that and the fact that both my sister and aunt had knee surgery last week.   I did end up grilling for our immediate family by putting the grill under the umbrella to keep me dry while tending the grill.

I may have mentioned the other day that I’ve been working on a mixed media canvas and I finally finished it . . . but you’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see it.  Today it’s my turn to once again post on the eclectic Paperie Blog, and for that project I worked up a smaller 5×7 canvas.

Mixed Media Chunky ATC!

Hello there!  I truly thought I would be able to get this project done and posted before tonight, but unfortunately it  just didn’t happen.

Since the first time I tried the PanPastels, I’ve had in the back of my mind working with them on more of an altered piece.  Yesterday I started the ground work and background for this Chunky ATC.

The wood was covered with matte Glue ‘n Seal and then the tissue paper was applied to the wood.  Once the paper was dry PanPastels were applied to the tissue paper to create the background.

Flowers were added along with some foliage and flourishes.

Good morning!  I hope everyone had a great week and you’re ready for the weekend . . . I know I am . . . Daytona racing starts today!!!!  I’ve got a number of friends involved in today’s ARCA race  . . . some racing, some on the pit crews and a few just hanging around cheering everyone on!    I’ll be tuned into SPEED this afternoon watching it all from the comfort of my sofa . . . even though one day I would love to be there in person.

I mentioned the other day that I had a mixed media project sitting on my work space that I was still playing around with.  I started it a few weeks ago, tried something I didn’t like and then lost my enthusiasm for it.  I put it in the cabinet until the mood hit me again or I could find the time to try something else.  Well, I decided to pull it out a couple of days ago and have another look see!
