Happy Weekend! It’s been a little crazy around here this week . . . with projects I can’t show you yet. Don’t you just hate it when I say something like that? We’ve got another baby shower tomorrow . . . I can’t wait to see all the cute baby things! Little girls clothes are just the cutest . . .
I worked up a couple of Halloween cards today, the first one cutesy and the second one grungy! I’m showing you the second one today because I like it better than the first and actually made this one to replace the cutesy one. Mallory likes the cutesy one (she says its different than my normal work), so I’ll probably show that one to you next week.
I had in mind to work with the Quietfire Designs Halloween! Wicked Collection, and for some reason I pulled out the Graphic 45 Magic of Oz Collection to go with. Hmmmmm maybe it has something to do with Wicked . . .
Jack was stamped in Archival Jet Black on watercolor paper and then water colored with Faded Jeans, Scattered Twigs and Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink. I made a mask of Jack with Eclipse Tape, and then stamped over the image with a sentiment from the Quietfire set in Sepia Archival.
Once the image had been die cut/embossed with Spellbinders Ovals, it was sponged with Antique Linen and just a hint of Vintage Photo around the outer edge. The ghost paper behind Jack was die cut with Spellbinders Grand Square, placed on an angle.
The seam binding was dyed with the same ink used to watercolor with . . . with a smidgen of Black Soot added. All the edges of the paper were distressed with my favorite distressing tool, my scissors!
Well, I guess that’s all for me! Thanks for stopping by and remember . . . life is short, enjoy the adventures that come your way!
