Good morning!  Hope everyone is staying warm and you’re not buried under feet of snow.  We’ve had our first major snowstorm for the year and it’s been bitterly cold . . . let’s hope it warms up for all of us soon!

During the last month, I’ve been working on some favors for my sorority province meeting . . .  wish I had gotten a picture of the completed box.  I die cut and made some fabric flowers that were attached to the front of a take-out box which we put a few treats in.

I’ve also taken the time to organize and clean my work space.  I’m so glad I did . . . I finally feel that I have a room that suits me and that I actually like working in.  (If you follow me on Facebook, you can see all the photos there!)

I have a few projects in the beginning stages for Ken Oliver using his new products.  Love his new Color Burst!  These will be hopefully finished over the upcoming weekend and I’ll have a few things to share next week.

The last few days I’ve been working on a project for Quietfire Design.

ArtisanFrameRTscs

I used lots of old product that I’ve had in my stash for some time:  An old Darcie’s Offset Square Shadowbox Frame, GrungePaper, Tattered Floral die (I know . . . don’t faint).  I also used some new Graphic 45 paper I picked up at CHA, Artisan Style, and a Quietfire stamp.  Please hop over to the Quietfire Creations Blog, check out all the details and more photos.  I would love it if you could leave me a comment over there and let Suzanne know you visited!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Good morning!  Before I start with my post today I have one very exciting thing to tell you . . . I’m walking my first official 5K Saturday morning!  I’ve been wanting to walk one all summer long and could never catch one on a good weekend.  Walking and keeping track of my weekly miles has become the norm since my weight loss journey began a year ago, so I’m pretty excited for this next adventure in my journey!

When I was at Art at the Edge, I was lucky enough to win one of the door prizes that weekend.  Now that in itself was something, because I never ever win anything.  What did I win?  I won a nice size gift bag of Tonic Studio dies!  I was pretty excited because I didn’t even know Tonic had dies . . . I have Tonic punches and scissors (which happen to be some of my favorite tools), but punches . . . oh my BADness!

I was really excited over a couple of the die sets that I received . . . .

LAYERED SQUARES measuring at the largest 5.5” and since most of the cards I make are 5.5 square, I couldn’t have been happier!  What’s even better is that part of the packaging is a magnetic sheet which the dies are on, along with a plastic sleeve with holes that can be put in a binder . . . easy peasy storage solutions right there with the packaging!  The notches that you see in the center edges help to align the dies up when placing more than one down, such as making the frame below.

I just happened to use those squares on my card today . . .

I also used one of the new Quietfire Design Christmas sets, It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.  This card is being featured over on the Quietfire Creations Blog today, where you can see more photos and get a few more details.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful day!

While I’m at it, if you haven’t heard or don’t subscribe to the eP Newsletter, eclectic Paperie is up for sale.  Kim has decided to devote more of her time to her family and is looking for a buyer for the store.  According to the newsletter, the store front will remain open until November 1st and the online store will remain active until such time as inventory has been reduced. Regular store hours will continue during September and may alter them in October.

Until further notice everything in the store is now 20% off. Use code EP20 when checking out. Note that this discount code may not be combined with any 10% or $5.00 coupons or used towards any items in the Clearance section.

That’s all I have for today!

I know don’t faint or anything but it’s me, Bad Sherry, really and truly! April was a month from hell and quite frankly . . .  I’m glad it’s over.  We had some family issues going on that kept me away from the studio all month.  Things are a little calmer now and I’m looking forward to having more time to create.  The first thing I get to do, is move my studio back to the basement.  I’m so excited!!  I’ll post pictures of the transformation as I go.

A few months ago I received an email from the owner of Artistic Stamper, Jennie Boxall, asking me to be a Guest Designer for them.  I have been following the Artistic Stamper Creative Team for a few years now and love all their work.  How could I possibly say no . . .

My first project is up on the Artistic Stamper Creative Team Blog today.

Good morning!  Boy I sure didn’t mean for my posts to be so far apart starting this month out.  I was gone for the weekend and then I’ve had a little helper for a couple of days, making it a little hard to get some quality studio time.

Anyhoo, I’m sharing a card over on the Quietfire Creations Blog today using Quietfire Design Garden Delights and Graphic 45 Secret Garden.  I needed to add a bit of spring time color into my day besides all the snow, sleet and rain that we are having.

I hope you’ll take a few minutes and pop over to the Quietfire Creations Blog to take a look at more photos and get all the details.

One more quick note . . . I’ve got a couple of surprises coming up in the next month!  I’m pretty darn excited about them!!
