Well hello there!  Here it is Tuesday afternoon and I’ve finally been able to sit down and write a blog post.  Yesterday was workout day and once I got home I started in on finishing up some class samples.  YES, I said class samples.  It was announced in The Queen’s Ink Newsletter that I’ll be there in June teaching some classes using Spellbinders™ Die Templates and Graphic 45 papers.  To be exact, I’ll be there the weekend of June 8, 9 and 10.  I’ll be teaching a Chunky Tag and an altered picture frame so far.  I have one more class planned but I’m waiting on product to arrive at my door step so I can finish up a sample.  I’ve got some samples to post in a few days so you can see what the fuss has been all about!

I’m pondering making enough samples for these classes that I’ll have some left over and then I can offer some classes for you local gals (Kentucky/Indiana area) as well.  What do you think about that?

The other day I mentioned that I had visited my friends from Our Daily Bread Designs at the stamp show last weekend.  One of my purchases that day was a poppy stamp from their booth.  Now I’ve searched their website every which way I can, and have only found the stamp in a set – Serve the Lord.   I purchased it as a single, Crocheted Poppy.  You know it’s hard for me to pass up a good flower stamp!

So anyho, here’s what I came up with . . . I started coloring it on Saturday evening when I got in.

The paper is some that I also picked up at the show, My Mind’s Eye Union Square – Rosy.  I just noticed that eclectic Paperie also has it, and it’s on sale!  (guess I should have waited to buy it)

I didn’t like the harshness of the border with the flower, so I went around it with a Stardust pen.  Hoping you can see the shimmer in the close-up.  If you can’t, click on the image to make it larger!

The seam binding is some extra that I had in the drawer (probably dyed with Antique Linen in varying shades) that I just grabbed and threw it together.

For those interested, here are the Copic Markers that I used.

When I was at the stamp show, Gary Burlin gave me one of his Copic Coloring Charts . . . boy is it easy to see what colors to use now!

I guess that’s all I have today . . . well at least my mind is telling me that!  Thanks for stopping by and remember  . . .  life is short, embrace the adventures that come your way today!
