Happy Fourth of July! I got Jeanne on the plane headed to Texas this morning – but only for about a week, until she flies back for CHA. With the weather somewhat crappy here today, not much is going on. It’s just a nice lazy, holiday weekend. Which means, that there is plenty of organizing and stamping time! WOO HOO!!

I headed down to the rubber room when I returned from the airport, and couldn’t wait to play with some of the new images from High Hopes Rubber Stamps, being released today. They just happened to find their way to my doorstep while I was road trippin’. I’ve also felt challenged deprived, so I had to see what the SCS Limited Supply Challenge was today.

Since it’s the 4th of July, the colors are red, white and blue. But, we are also limited to four layers of paper, four specialty tools or embellishments. I might have stretched the guidelines a little, and used five tools/embellishments . . . . let’s all pretend that the white and black pens are only one tool, okay?

Anyhoo, here’s my card today . . . . Who knows, there might be a few more, depending on how energetic I get.

I stamped the Lil’ Show Girl, masked her and then stamped the Show Horse. The images are colored with Copic Markers, and the decorations on the horse’s straps are Perfect Pearls. To add just a tiny bit of glitter to the card, I painted a thin coat of turquoise Stickles on the horse’s plume and the girl’s shoes and dress. The edges of the red panel were sponged with Cranberry and white dots were added with a white opaque pen. To finish off the image panel, I added a few black dots.
