4/23/09:  EDITED TO ADD:  The link on Shelly’s blog to me is wrong today . . . . here’s my correct blog entry:   BLOG STROLL KITTIE KITS

EDITED TO ADD:  The Blog Stroll is now closed.  Thanks to all who h.ave participated, your responses have been overwhelming and made the stroll exciting for us.  Once I have gathered all the info from the Red-Hot Mommas’ Blogs, I’ll be back to post the winners on the RN Blog.

Good morning and welcome to the very first Rubbernecker Blog Stroll!  Today Rubbernecker Stamps releases their first new images (excluding Kittie Kits) in 10 years.  There’s a big difference in the way the images are packaged now.  The new releases are sets . . . yes you heard correctly, sets!

To celebrate this release, we invite you to Blog Stroll along with the Rubbernecker Red-Hot Mommas.  The Stroll begins at the Rubbernecker Stamps Blog where you will find the guidelines on how to win one of the sets being revealed or even possibly the GRAND PRIZE. If you haven’t started at the Rubbernecker Blog, you should go there as soon as possible. That’s where you’ll find the first clue to begin your Stroll. I know you won’t want to miss a thing!

I’m using 427 Flower Silhouettes my card today and Oh Yeah I’m back to the grungy distressing vintage type of thing!  I’m positive you’ve seen this set on other blogs today, but hopefully you’ll see another image, get a different take on using the stamp, and be inspired in a different way.

I started with the tag first, coloring the background with that Inky Thing I Do (hehe  . . . Beate called it that one day and I just can’t get it out of my head).  Once I had the desired background colors, French Script Background was stamped lightly in Vintage Photo.  The silhouette was first stamped in Walnut Stain and then stamped again with Black Soot.  I was going for the double stamping silhouette look, but I think I was a little far apart with my stamping.  Yes, I have a stamp-a-majig, and no I don’t know where it is.  The background paper was sanded and then sewn to the panels.  The border was die cut, embossed and then sponged using the Spellbinders Grand 12” Classic Lace Borderabilities and the sentiment was cut with Spellbinders Deckle Edged Rectangles Nestabilities.

The Blog Stroll ends with me! I hope you’ve visited all the other blogs, left comments, and have found all the phrase clues.

To win the set that I’ve used today, all you have to do is leave me a comment. The Blog Stroll will end at 12:00 Noon on Friday, April 10, and the individual winners and GRAND PRIZE Winner will be announced on the Rubbernecker Blog Friday afternoon!

I hope you enjoyed the stroll and thanks for coming to the BAD Side for awhile.
