Happy Friday!  I meant to have this post up before now, but I had a few unexpected errands this morning  . . . well on unexpected, but oh so fulfilling.  My sorority, Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority – Delta Phi Chapter, decided to buy some bicycles for our local Safety Town.  I met some committee members over at the Schwinn store this morning and we decided on eight 16” bikes with training wheels!  It’s going to be so much fun presenting these to Safety Town.  Needless to say, I didn’t get my project done until a little later this morning.

I started working on this card last night, picking my paper first and then coloring my snowman to match.

When I was working on the ticket, I remembered I had some old rusty bells from a couple of years ago, and just had to add them.

The seam binding was dyed to Aged Mahogany Distress Ink and Stain, with a little Vintage Photo tossed in for good measure.  The bells are tied to the memo pin which is holding the ticket.

I really love this paper, My Mind’s Eye Lost and Found Christmas, and was glad I finally got to open it this season.

Here are the Copic Markers that I used:

That’s all for now!  Thanks for stopping by and remember, life is short . . . embrace the adventures that come your way today!

Good Thursday morning!  I hope y’all have had a good week so far.  I would tell you the story of what happened yesterday but . . . . I’m sure you would find it pretty boring.  Let’s put it this way . . . four of us went to get passports, two post offices later . . . . two got them, two did not.  Am I one who did?  Well of course not!  My certified birth certificate is no longer good for obtaining a passport (even though it says it is right there on the page) . . . so I’ll be delayed a month or so.  That’s okay, there is plenty of time to get my passport and to lose a few extra pounds.  My sister and I are calling it “Losin’ for Cruisin’!”

Enough about that  . . . but we are very excited.  All four of the adult children (and their spouses except for mine) are going on a 7-day cruise with the momma (step-momma for two of them).  See I can’t let it go . . . February is a way off!

Fast reverse to a few days ago in the studio.  Card making!  While at CHA I picked up a couple of Unity – Itty Bitty Stamps.  One of them was Halloween and since I’ve been in the mood to make Halloween cards recently, I couldn’t resist.

Here’s the outside:

The little ghost was colored with Copic Markers and then mounted on varying circle die templates from Spellbinders™.  The edges of the paper were distressed and then sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  The border was made with 2 of the new Edgeabilities.  See that sentiment . . . How do GHOSTS like to dance? . . . well look at the inside

I LOVE it!

By the way, the seam binding was dyed with a mix of Dusty Concord and Sky Blue to get just the right shade of purple.

Well that’s it for today except . . . remember life is short, embrace the adventures of the day!

Thanks for stopping by!
