  1. Too funny–I just went to Home Depot yesterday and got a bunch of sample jars of paint! I also picked up some of the new Martha Stewart paints, glaze and crackle paint. Love how your journal pages turned out!

  2. I love using pots of wall paint in my work too Sherry. It is definitely different than say a Golden Acrylic. But I just look at it as a different supply. Love your journal pages and how you used my stencils. Would you be okay if I highlighted your pages in the future on a blog post?? Say yes please!

  3. fun pages.
I ‘ll have to think about the dif between acrylic and vinyl paints.
It is fun to get those custom colors mixed up.

  4. Love your journal page and yes those little pots are fantastic! Thanks for sharing this as I never thought of trying them on journal pages.

  5. LOVE LOVE LOVE your pages and oooooohhhhhhh I will be making a run out to Lowe’s next weekend :-).

  6. Hi Sherry, your journal pages are fantastic but I think Lowe’s paint must be only in U.S, not here in UK? I have bought tester pots of UK brands or even DIY store own brand emulsions to use in projects for a while now. I love when these work out, the results are good and of course I’m all for making my pennies go further.
I haven’t used these with my stencils yet though, thanks for the idea….now why didn’t I think of this before? (I’m wondering now about how these tester pots would turn out if using with my Gelli plate???)

  7. Love the colours of paint and love love the journal cover

  8. How funny that you did this post on the Valspar paints……I have 2 jars that I did test spots with on my bedroom wall and I love the colors but YOW not colors I can wake up to every day! So I was wondering how and if I could just use them in my crafting instead of them going to waste! Thanks to you I will be using them in my art journal!! Your page looks great – love the colors and texture effects. I’ll have to check out Seth’s stencils. StencilGirl has some wonderful stencils and I am wanting some of Nathalie Kalbachs !

  9. Looks like you’ve been having alot of creative fun!!!!!! I love checking out Lowes for fun finds!

  10. I love this idea, thanks for sharing Sherry. I will head to Lowe’s soon LOL! Love Seth’s stencils, and will check them out. Your journal pages are perfect.

  11. Have been out of touch lately with the stamping sites, so when I read your post on Lowe’s paints this morning, I became excited too! Love what you have done with the stencils; definitely will try your technique, Sherry. Glad you came home with wonderful ideas to share with your readers.
