Happy Monday!!!! I can’t believe we have blue skies and the sun is shining today. Everyone is back to normal, well all except Kate – she still can’t drive, and I am actually home alone stamping today! The mad crunch of the Fan Club Gallery opening is over – especially since I was so sick last week and really didn’t have an opportunity to stamp. Spent the whole day Saturday in the studio getting the final projects done and uploaded.

Today’s challenge on Splitcoast is Try a New Technique and today’s technique is Beate’s fabulous Triangle Trifold card. I’ve been wanting to try this one, so once I got back from taking Kate to school I hit the studio. I wanted just the right designer paper, so after a little digging I decided on a gold embossed piece from the Once Upon a Time Mat Stack from DCWV. I stamped the biggest blossom from Lizzie Anne’s Little Bits Blissful Blossom set in Perfect Plum (on Very Vanilla CS) and embossed with Holographic EP. The blossom was then water colored with Pale Plum, Perfect Plum and Barely Banana reinkers. To pick up the vine pattern in the paper, I used the swirl from Doodle This and stamped in Ballet Blue then embossed with the Holographic EP. The main image was then layered on Barely Banana and Perfect Plum Cardstock. These are such fun little cards to make and are a variation of one I’ve made before. Great for keeping around for those special somethings!
