First, I would like to thank everyone who played along in telling your BAD stories! I thoroughly enjoyed reading each and every one of them and had the best laughs I’ve had in a long time. I feel like I’ve gotten to know each of you a little better.

I asked Mallory to pick a number between 1 and 58 this morning and she picked number 14. CONGRATULATIONS JAN SCHOLL — you are post number 14. I’ve already sent an email requesting your address, etc.

Well I have a busy day today, it’s our annual Sorority Style Show and Luncheon and once again, I’m running late. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Happy Friday! I’m still rolling with laughter reading the BAD stories for the Blog Candy, please keep them coming. You have until midnight tonight and the winner will be announced tomorrow morning. I also noticed this morning that something has happened to all my email subscribers so I am assuming that there is a slight glitch somewhere. If you are a subscriber and are not receiving email updates, please let me know.

Today’s card is for the Limited Supply Challenge on Splitcoast. The object today was to use flower stamps, sentiments, up to two backgrounds, Soft Subtles, Rich Reals or neutrals and up to two colors or kinds of ribbon. After I finished the card, I think I may have strayed from the challenge because I used brads. I didn’t notice this until after I had set the first three and there was just no way I was going to go back and change it (hehe)!

I used my favorite Penny Black floral stamp, colored the image with markers, misted with water and stamped the image out three times. The edges were sponged with Mellow Moss and then layered. The Well-Worn Words background is stamped with Almost Amethyst on Whisper White cardstock, the edges were distressed with the blade of my scissors and then sponged with Mellow Moss. There is a small layer of Mellow Moss behind it and that is then layered on the white. For some reason today I’m liking the stark white with these colors. The sentiment was colored with marker and then stamped and layered. It is up on a piece of mounting tape for an added dimension.

Oh so funny!!! You guys are crackin’ me up with your BAD stories. I don’t think I’ve laughed this hard in a very long time! I find it so amazing how everyone interprets BAD differently. I have to say, I’ve never shoplifted a thing in my life, I’ve never been arrested, and I never wear a bathing suit in the hot tub (chunky dunkin’ — yeah baby!). Actually, I have a pact with some BAD girlfriends that if we haven’t been arrested by the time we die, we’ve done something wrong! I’ll share one more BAD thing with you this morning — I got my first tattoo when I was 46 (Bad Bev am I correct on this one)! Remember to make your comments on the BAD Blog Candy Post! Have a great day, I’m off to Hobby Lobby!

I think it’s time we offer up some BAD Blog Candy! I’ve just hit 6,000 visitors, and I am just amazed that this Blog has taken off like it has. Quite frankly, I’m having a terrific time sharing my stories and creative ideas with you. Not too long ago I made a trip to our local Michael’s (some 45 minutes drive for me) and found some of their fabulous *new* acrylic stamps. I picked up three sets and two of the blocks and have decided they should be BAD Blog candy. Here’s how you can win. Leave me a comment telling me about something BAD that you have done. It can be as simple as not cooking dinner for your family to as bawdy as skinny dipping with a group of your friends! I’ll start . . . I’ve been known to ride on the back of a convertible topless (ala YaYa)! You have until Friday midnight to leave your comment, and the winner will be announced on Saturday! It’s your turn now – tell me your BAD stories!

BAD Blog Candy

After an exciting evening at sorority last night, I got up this morning ready to stamp. But first, I have to tell you – you would have laughed yourself silly last night looking at bunch of women running around a yard on an Easter Egg Hunt. Wish I had thought to take pictures! They hid 50 eggs, I found three and the winner found eight or nine, can’t really remember this morning (and no, I was not under the influence). But I probably should have been! I took one of the ladies home – she lives just a few blocks away – and drove my car off her driveway into the culvert. There was a small curb on both side of the drive, got my left front wheel hung up on the curb and got stuck. I thought for just a minute that I might have to call a wrecker to come pull me off, but Bad Bev was also with me and she stood out on the road until I put the car in forward and tried to drive off the curb. Got up and over, and then with Bev still standing on the road she guided me out the driveway. After dropping Bev off at home, I thought to myself – now if I had been drinking that wine, I probably would never had gotten stuck in that culvert! I haven’t checked this morning for any damage yet, hoping that everything is okay and there is nothing leaking out the bottom!

Anyhoo, onto today’s Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast. Once again I found myself drawn to black and white with just a touch of color. Picked up some new stamps recently from My Favorite Things and really haven’t had much of a chance to play with them until today. I have to tell you, I’m lovin’ these stamps! I stamped the bunny image with Black Stazon and water colored with reinkers. Since this was a simple sketch today, I felt the card really just called for a simple background. Pulled the Cuttlebug off the shelf and embossed a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the D’vine Swirl embossing folder and then layered that onto Basic Black. Knew I needed something on the bottom right-hand corner to comply with the sketch, so I stamped out the sentiment and one little carrot and colored it with reinkers. The carrot is cut out and then layered on top of the sentiment oval. I punched the sentiment out with the large oval punch, layered it on the black and hand trimmed that (which is why it looks a little screwy). The ribbon is from one of TexasJodyLynn’s ribbon shares!
